You realize that is a 4Gb fiber channel switch not an ethernet switch. They are not meant to connect like that.

I agree. Pick a Synology model that fits your specs and load with drives on the compatibility list. I recently installed an 8 Bay Synology at work loaded with WD RE4 drives and its a screamer. It was dead simple to setup too.

I'm glad I got to replace our chassis switches at the school MDFs. The cabling was a nightmare. Our high school had a 6513 with 6 48 port blades. The 3750 stack is much cleaner.
