Back in my day we had these things called "demos", these "demos" let us try a tiny portion of the game to see if it ran well on our PC's, if it had the options we needed in a PC games, and just to see if it was generally any fun.

Not at all, the monitor I linked to above is under $300 and is mostly what I'm looking for, I just need one with a Glossy screen. Preferably something in the 23-24 size range. 20 is too small and 27+ is too big.

It doesn't HAVE to be LED backlit, LCD is fine. I just find LED's (from what I've seen) have better black levels., IPS+Glossy would do. Budget? Lets say $700.00-$800.00 max As far as games, everything from Counter-Strike to Silent Hunter 3 to Shogun 2 Total War.
