    Corsair SF600 600w SFX Powersupply

Interested in getting this, but unsure which longer 24pin braided cable is compatible. I know Silverstone isn't, do any of the existing Corsair cables fit?

I see. I didn't realise it had to be manufacturer specific. Ok will import one.

Anyone used the asus hyper kit on this mobo yet? Been trying it with Intel 750 and no luck.

Anyone have any idea if the Chieftec atx pin arrangement same as silverstone? Want to know if I can use their atx cable.

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

For some reason I can get pump working fine on other PSU but no joy on Sharkoon. This is a dealbreaker and looking at returning it now. Looks like I might have no choice but to go for this model again? EDIT: Reading back through this thread, its clear that the noise is inherent to the design...

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

It's possible I had a bad fan. This was my second PSU, but the other is in a build where the surrounding components are too loud to hear the fan (also in a cabinet so noise isn't as much of a concern). If your 700w was on the market I would have tried that, but didn't want to lose the gamble of...

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

Have heard Sharkoon fan by itself now, and it has a more normal "quiet" character at low load. My issue with the Silverstone was how the fan made an unpleasant noise while spinning, which I could hear over the CPU cooler quite often. One more question for Phuncz. I can't get WC pump working...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

In case anyone else was wondering, I believe the internal reservoir is this: http://www.xs-pc.com/reservoirs/acrylic-tank-reservoir-for-laing-d5 Which is now discontinued. Going to try a small EKWB one paired with D5 myself and will see how it fits.

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

Thanks for the advice. So the Silverstone 50cm 24 pin sleeved (which I have) will not work, but an extension will? Edit: I get the idea now, I'd have to use the PSU supplied cable then extend it. A bit more messy but guess it would do the job.

Yes that pump/res combo looks like it fits in well. Maybe someone will recognize it.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Ok sounds like I need a pump like: https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-xtop-d5-pwm-acetal-incl-pump then route that to http://www.frozenqshop.com/m1-ncase-reservoir/ I do have a short GPU, but don't think EK sell all in ones that would fit in there currently.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

This one might fit fine: https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-xres-100-revo-d5-pwm-incl-pump Or could have pump inside case and feed to reservoir outside of course, be nice to have less piping if noise would be the same though.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Noise elimination is now my first priority, so this would be a concern. I don't understand how the pump choice has a bearing on the waterblock used though. Don't suppose anyone has experience of a truly quiet pump, even within the small confines of M1?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Is that a crossflow type as well, or would it need extra tubing? But if you had a 40mm rad with only 2 fans, 65mm should be just about ok you think? I have a 120mm rad with fan at 65mm at the moment, it is a bit tight orientated vertically though.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Would this rad also need additional tubing? https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-coolstream-pe-240-dual New to all this, but guessing you mean that because of the way the water flows you need an extra piece of tubing for the other direction instead of passing flow onto the next component?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Ah I see, good to know. My GPU is only 7.5" long so will have a bit more room than example rig. What's the advantage in a thinner rad with four fans vs a thicker one with only two? Like the idea of less fans personally.

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

Yes clearly that wasn't a good idea. Luckily no harm done. I would like to buy a 50CM sleeved cable that would work with this PSU if there is one though.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thanks for your input. That is indeed a fearsome looking build! The pump seems to be a nice selection that is larger than the average, you'd hope that would help it be quieter (one of the reasons I want to go custom is GPU closed loop pump is too noisy). Using an SFX-L in my case though so will...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I can see a lot of water rigs in the build gallery. Can anyone who built one of these comment on the radiators used, and their clearance with fans fitted? Also curious about mounting pump/reservoir internally if possible, or at least just the pump.

    Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Gold SFX-L

Don't want to go OT too much, but have the Sharkoon now and a sleeved ATX cable by Silverstone doesn't work on it, even though it fits fine. Know what 50cm one would? Unable to comment on noise for now as testing another component that shrouds it.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Have to ask... where do all the doodads go? The 120mm sized filters, are they meant to go on the floor? Also no idea what the metal strips are for, or the cage on the side.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

I'm now thinking about going Intel 750 2.5" seeing all the issues samsung has, but apart from that m2 to u2 adaptor you also need to power the drive don't you? quite a few extra cables vs m2.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Yes I have those DIMMs, but my mobo is factory default (presumably) and will not start with them inserted so far; so did you use those DIMMs from the start or did you use other ones to update the bios first?

I have tried mobo with new 16GB non ecc and will not boot. Just want to be sure it is the ram before I have to buy another module to get into bios for upgrade. This mobo has no power led light so hard to tell if something else not right, plus have no case yet.

    NCASE M1 v3 Build Thread

Has anyone here used the Noctua NH-U9DX i4? Looks like I'll be using GPU with 120MM loop cooler with thick rad (160mm with fan I think) and thinking of clearances for PSU. You sure the 520w seasonic can't be mounted vertically? Tempted to try it if there's enough room. Edit...

Hello. Planning on an x99 130w tdp build soon. Really want to concentrate on quietness. Might use passive seasonic atx I have already, or the slx l if needed. What's the largest hsf I can get away with? R9 nano looks to be too expensive now so unsure about vga as well. Another user suggested...

Going to build this into ncase m1 with 130w tdp xeon. Now onto the cooler, basically want the very quiestest possible and not sure about the h100 which seems to be a bit louder than I'd like looking at reports. Case can only fit 240mm rad max as well. Wonder if air cooling would be better?

    I cant decide... help me.

I'd say panel wise they're all the same. Low quality and unreliable, with high chance of at least excessive backlight bleed or having to pay for return to Korea. Reliable monitors are not that much more now. If you have to go Korean just look at threads on overclock for user experiences perhaps...
