I run prime+fur at the same time when testing. Have run them both for over 2 hours one time to see what temps I would get on my new wc loop. (plus I had to wear in the thermal paste...)
imo, water cooling is your next best option...
a RX360 rad would have enough surface area for both GPU's. I used to run a 6970 on a 240 slim rad but it wasn't enough when I added my Q9400 to the loop.
The 6970's are awesome for their price. I bought one about 3 weeks after release for $425 including postage and it's still going. I'm actually trying to get a second one from Overclockers Australia (OCAU) forums because they are just that good :D
Just curious, is any of this going into meetings to be considered like more/better CPU coolers, engravings instead of stickers on the "Level 10 GT" case and hand out to reviewers???
hmmm.... so it is lol
I should have seen that. My bad
Edit: and just seen this posted 15 mins ago
Edit 2: the post was updated and now edited here to suit and some more comments for you guys :)
That is all from me today :D time for some sleep
I'll have an ask around and see what people in Australia think. I have an account on www.overclockers.com.au so yer.
From me though, what I have said above covers everything I can think of :D
Edit: I have just put a thread up here.
I'm curious as to why 2 x 590's when 1 x 590, 2 x 580's, 1 x 6990 or 2 x 6970's would do the exact same thing plus allow for overclocking????
and also change your pic hosting. Photobucket is saying that you have exceeded your bandwidth limit so i can't see anything... :(
If you did get the H100 you could run slim fans inside the case and run normal fans on top outside of the case. There is no problem in terms of that, if you are willing to get the dremel out in a worst case scenario...
Try pulling the BIOS battery out for a couple of hours.
Run memtest and let it run for at least 5 tests (overnight run) to be entirely sure everything is working at it's best :D
ok
If the temps are fine then i wouldn't be too worried
Have you checked your loop for any leaks?? Possibly sucking air from somewhere
What order is everything in and locations actually...
IMO just stick with all the same parts but get a T link, put some new distilled water in it and...
It's not so much bigger is better. It's more about more heat pipes sometimes.
and with the fans it depends on the speed. A delta fan that runs at 5,000 RPM will be better than two fans running at 2,000 RPM. Probably a bad example but yer. You get the idea
imo you guys should be creating some new low profile and high end coolers to try and get a better name for yourselves here in Australia.
People are preferring to use the CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ CPU Cooler for something cheap but powerful in terms of cooling for mid-end.
For the low...
should put either orange stickers on the RAM or spray paint them to match the rest of the build... Also have you thought of creating a cover for the board???
Like this PC from mnpctech
If you are mounting the rad on the back then corsair recommends sucking the outside air in but imo it should be like mine

Pushing the inside air out to go with the flow.....
Neon01 and borkaman. chillax.
Neon01, Have you made sure your h70 is working correctly (pump at full speed??? no fins bent to prevent air flow???)
borkaman, those temps are fine when on a air cooler. If you had those temps on water cooling then you have some serious issues.... Are you only...
Water cooling a viable option which i haven't seen anyone suggest it. a 120.2 should be enough for 2 6970's. I'll be looking at water cooling my single 6970 with a brother possibly sometime soon.
i'm agreeing with fixall. It's cheaper to get it from somewhere like PCCG or best buy (i think). I'm not sure of where you are. I'm in Queensland, Australia and i buy from PCCG which is cheaper then what you can get on that site
I guess i should probably reword and clarify what i said. Depending on the overclock (light, moderate, heavy) you can have it on (e.g. light to moderate) but once you start pushing more power through then it's not best to have it on as it can cause the overclock to fail and failing hardware...
