It sounds like ASUS's BIOS quality is headed down-hill, and fast. Does anyone recall what version they removed the Turbo overvoltage adjustment? I'm seriously thinking of trying to flash back to that version or frisbeeing this motherboard...
Just curious - why'd you upgrade from P68 to P77 and do you think it's worth it?
Other than BIOS issues that tick me off (like lack of updates & the lost Turbo Offset Voltage setting) is the P77 really superior to P68 in any real-world way other than supporting Ivy?

Got the time to update to BIOS v0706, latest drivers, etc and I must say I'm impressed. I can confirm that S3 sleep now works with CPU PLL Overvoltage enabled. I had given up on this ever being fixed. I'm now easily able to hit 47x103, just by hitting the Extreme Overclock button in AI Suite...
Has anyone tested BIOS 0706 to see if S3 can resume when CPU PLL over voltage is enabled?
I thought I read this was due to some sort of un-fixable flaw in the CPU microcode. It would be great if this turns out to be wrong.

From what I've read, the answer to this question is yes, although I haven't tried this exact configuration myself. You should probably avoid SRT 'Maximized' mode to avoid excessive wear on what I assume is a MLC SSD drive. And if you value your data, I'd recommend a backup strategy on that...

CPU_FAN_OPT is a 4-pin PWM fan header connector next to CPU_FAN that wasn't on the P8P67 models that I know of. The manual lists it in several places, but doesn't include supported for it in the ASUS FAN Xpert feature...
I remember seeing spy photos on a Taiwanese site a few months ago that had a space for a mSATA drive to be installed directly to a Z68 prototype motherboard. That starts to make more sense in this context...
