Ok so gigabytes B150N phoenix is sighted:

What I don't get is what's the difference between that and the H170N wi-fi from gigabyte?
You get wi-fi, m.2 and DDR4.
Yes it only has 4 Sata ports but...
I've got the PSU 3 months ago when my 8 year old corsair gave up. Will keep it.
The 750ti is just 65W and will buy a T skylake so that's just 35W. 2 SSDs and 2 fans will surely don't produce that much heat.
In my Lian Li pc-q08 the GPU maxes at 70 C.
So my goal with the tower cooler is to...
So I've decided to go with the Metis. A green one.
The thing is I've had 7 years of continious work to make my computers small, quiet and " middle weight" gaming capable.
The metis is a step smaller and hopefully a step more quiet.
I will use my:
Palit 750ti passive GPU.
Seasonic 520w passive...
So when will we see the H170 boards?
I will probably go with a H board as long as it got an M.2 slot and good wi-fi. USB 3.1 is probably good to have for the future phones.
I like rearmounted M.2s. As the huge cooler often is in the way of everthing on the frontside of the mobo.
A OS disc that you won't change until you rebuild the system is just to leave on the rear.
Nice thread. We should keep it open and start post all new itx skylake mobos we find.
Not only z170 but all above h110 atleast.
I would like to see a board with double M.2 slots, one under and one on top.
Other then that it's only a board with the best wi-fi on the market built in.
The SFX-L is a really nice thought.
Hopefully cooler and quieter than the true SFX versions.
Tony Ou:
Will you please send this one to SPCR aswell (as the 600W)?!
It will surely be a hot spot.
But the question is more about the PSU then the GPU. The GPU can handle high temps but the PSU (specially the SFXs) will go berserk if flooded with heat from the GPU.
If you have the possibility to borrow a "normal" GPU with fans pointing out from the card and test...
This is one of the facts that made me wote SFX.
In Sweden the dell 240W (not even 350) cost 160$.
Then add the HDPlex at almost the same price its more then twice the cost over and SFX.
If you guys think you got shafted over the price on the GPUs.
When we get new prices in dollars we...
So I've been thinking.
I'm getting closer to buying this case but I'm truly a "don't want to hear my computer at all" kind of guy.
I do expect the Noctua cooler to perform quiet enough so I won't hear it from my chair (the pc would hang under the desk beside my knees). That also I believe would...
Hehe are a consumer not a producer.
My thoughts are exactly like the A4 just wide enough to house 2 fans (one on each side of the mobo/GPU waffle. Also as a SFX wouldn't need airflow in the way the HDPlex does you could place 2x2,5" bays on the side of the SFX.
But still it's soo close to...
Yeah but I only run passive GPUs never had one with a fan.
That's why I would like to see the A4 with a version where the case fans are placed so they move air across mobo and GPU.
And also with room for a SFX PSU (mostly to get rid of the brick(but also as the HDplex/dell combo is expensive)).
I'ts a bit sad that no one has made a heatpipe cooler for LP cards yet (so far only re-using old designs). Could probably knock a degree or two off with just a single heatpipe.
This is still something a watch.
Great would be if you could change coolers but that's out of the question when the two processors are facing each other. (that's in a new case theory).
Perfect would be to turn both boards upside down. Change the coolers to something twice or trice the size...
Right now I feel like buying the new gigabyte card just to listen to it. Still have problems with loud noisy computers and that is almost the only thing that keeps me from the L2 right now (that and horrible personal economics).
This is a incredible little machine.
It's simply a gaming laptop folded twice.
To bad that it's running hot and loud.
I would love to see the this little beast modded into a case with 2x120mm fans on each side. Making it twice the size.
From enthusiam to torture. That is the path this thread has walked in my head.
I truly want to buy a case but just don't have the money for a new system right now.
I just don't get that excited.
But most it's because of the lack of pictures from the inside.
Also I had my hops to the SG05 sequel would have front mounted PSU instead of over the mobo. (being a slightly smaller SG08).
