Here's a big one! I'm using both rocketdock and rainmeter plus freeversion of displayfusion until I feel like buying the full version. Temp setup until I get another monitor.
No, netflix. My rig has a 6970 so I can watch movies, compress video, and play Bad Company 2 on full graphics no sweat. When I get my third monitor I'm planning to go full eyefinity.
They're great. The one on the left is CF and the one on the right is LED. Get the LED version, the CF has this sort of yellowish vibe when you compare it to the richer blacks and contrasts you can achieve with the LED version.
Hey, guys, I made a cheap little build today for my sister's family for Christmas but it seem that Asrock automatically bloats the system by pinning a zynga on the task bar and placing an internet shortcut on the screen. I've tried deleting it but I keeps reinstalling itself and I've tried...
Got my 6970 this mid-day. There is no game I can't run very well on ultra. :) Awesome, glad I decided to get this over the 570. The reviews are fairly accurate while it may not be the most powerful video card it's near the top and will run all games I have at my disposal on ultra settings.
TN panels typically have poor view angle but the latest ASUS TN LED/CL monitors have really, really great viewing angles, design, and options--horizontal viewing angle is fantastic, vertical is pretty decent as well. They all max out at 1920x1080 though.Cheap too.
ASUS current gen TN panels are really great. I just got a 27" 276q and love it so much I'm receiving a vk278q (the LED version) on Friday. It's TN but it certainly one of the best TN panels I've seen, ever.
I would recommend ASUS 27" TN panels but the one you're looking at seem to be the same...
Either way it's all good for gaming; I only do light photoshopping and video editing. Only a temp video card until next year when I build an 8 core Sandy Bridge in 12 months.
blah, was hoping for better overall performance but since I got 1 27" incher and 2 coming on Friday the 6970 wins, besides ATI's driver are probably not at their best right now. Give it a few updates and you might see slightly better AA performance. Cancelled the 570 and just order a 6970...
Just got the an ASUS 27" (VE276Q) off newegg. Love it. FOR THE PRICE, they're good quality and you can't beat 2ms response time, HDMI, discrete design. It is TN, but the view angle isn't bad at all.
Only issue I can comment on is that there's some backlight bleed at the very sides but I can...
You can use some rad coolant but note two things: use only between 0% to 30% coolant per volume; coolant (glycol) is both denser and less efficient than pure water and should only be recommended has a biocede and/or anti-rust inhibitor for systems with lots of copper/alum.
As I said, the website doesn't saying it has a warranty registering process. All it says is that it needs a proof of purchase, which is unusual.
Anyone who has dealt with Enermax RMA can comfirm this? Someone who have more than google search abilities?
I picked up a Enermax SGalaxy 1000w off newegg back during Black Friday and it doesn't seem to have any warranty registering information and either does Enermax site. Does anyone know the steps? I now this is an older model but warranties, smorranties.
I've already put the PSU through a series...
What type of thermal paste do you use and how much? I would recommend you clean the surface of the cpu with either a cpu cleaning solution or rubbing alcohol, let dry for at least an hour then apply a very, very small amount of AS5--about the size of piece of rice.
It could also be that your...
Good lord, those are ugly cases. I'll take kludge over ugly. Besides I've already budgeted my next build and I can't afford to buy another case. This is my first watercooling build and my first computer build in 4 years. Either way thanks for the suggestion I didn't know cases like those were...
My roommate picked up the remains of a XPS700 left in the trash yesterday and isn't too bad of condition. It's completely useless as a computer tower has it's heavy, BTX, and poorly ventilated. Plus, I just got a HAF X three days ago. I do love the exterior design of the XPS700 though...
