u2312h will launch in end of august, but it's only a led version of u2311h, no image quality better or only sighly. but the u2311h now have a very low price, the new u2312 will have a big price, from dell in europe the new u2312 will be 259€, U2311h now is 199€.

Dell U2412m is not for games, evident reverse ghosting and overdrive trailing. Asus Pa246q is the best choise.

27" is useless, the important is 24" model

my obsession to ips responsive time is there because i play and i wanted buy it. the reason because 10E call me "troll" is because i kept to repeat the same comment about a bad ghosting that i saw in the movies and there are 2 users said that U2412 have good responsive time and the ghosting...

i have just said this situation in games but some user have offende me and call me "troll" or "noob" because i see this ghosting in a youtube movie :rolleyes: And now the noobs are they. Ridicolous ! :o

there's many IPS fanboy in this thread. the new S-PLS with his coating will have a big advantage than IPS. is impossible to justify the IPS coating, is BAD and STOP !

New review about u2412 by LESSNUMERIQUE. http://www.lesnumeriques.com/dell-u2412m-p240_11538_88.html the responsive time have a much reverse ghosting and trailing by review this disadvantage is impossible to correct. :mad:

if u have any porblem with your ips coating, good for u, but there's some users that dont like the ips harsh coating. pass to semi glare coating( the lighest ) from harsh coating ( the hardest ) is a bigger difference, is very similar to a glossy panel but without reflections.

the revolution is the SEMI-GLARE COATING :rolleyes: ( the only one really disadvantage of IPS panels ) that means vibrant colors not dull, very much sharper, no grainy and sparkle look and less eyestrain. the contrast is low like the other H-IPS and P-IPS around 650 / 700:1.

if glare is not a problem, buy it

27 is too large, much more aliasing than a 22-23", the best comprimise is 24" for me.

the problem of u2711h is not only sparkle but when u read the text, u'll have a combination to smallest doth pitch in the market + harsh coating = very small text with blur effect = strong eyestrain + headhit

u2412m is + 1 inch but in a different format size. the difference with u2311h is smaller than an other 24" 16:9 monitor. 16:10 is good for professional job but can cause some issues whit external devices as console and have a different FOV in the games. U2311H is around 200€ and u2412m...

Dell U2311h is the best 23" 16:9 ips monitor as image quality. LG E2370v can to be a good LED alternative to dell.

VE24 series is good tn but have a serious ghosting issue in 2D :o Acer S series is an extreme cheaper series ( very low quality ). only asus VE246h have any of this issues but this is not in the shops. out of production i think. if u want a decent tn 24" u can to try to buy Dell P2411h or...

u2311h is better for price. u2412m can be better if u search absolute 16:10 format.
