Well just an example I have my memory at 1800 w a 3.8ghz overclock and am seeing bigadv numbers similar to 4-4.2ghz. Timing doesnt play a crucial role in bigadv but speed does. Ill have a better measure when I get my 950 oced bc it has 1600 ram in it
Personally I would recomend an evga card thats model number ends w AR. AR models have lifetime warranties and cover anything as long as there is no physical damage to the board (TR only has a 2 year warranty). PNY are good also and I think they have a lifetime warranty as well. ASUS make good...
The only difference between dual, tri, and quad channel kits is that the memory is identical and works together flawlessly. When I build my first computer I built 3 identical ones for my family and thought hey lets get 4 tri channel kits so each has 8 gb (I didnt know anything about computers at...
If you can find some 2000mhz ram w timings of 9-9-9 or lower would be the best for folding since timings arent as big of a factor. Gskill and corsair are my favorite but I have some decent ocz memory in my x58 rig. In my 2 faster p55's I have gskill perfect storm which they dont make any more...
Tri-channel is higher performing than dual channel but can only be used on x58 systems. If you put 3 sticks of ram in a dual channel system it will only see it as single channel. I believe feather is right about BD being quad channel but im not sure if that will only be on the server side or...
Tri-Channel ram is for the x58 series chips. Its the only series that supports tri-channel and has enough dimm slots for 2 sets. For all other chips dual or quad channel are what they use. in the future the newer chips will come w quad-channel controllers so pick up a 2x4 or 4x2 or 2x2 with...
There was an issue with the gpu3 server this afternoon I believe. A bunch of people were able to upload the wu's or get new ones but it seems to have been resolved around 6 for receiving and 7:20 for sending
I personally think all folding forums need to have a stickey explaining aspects of folding such as how the wu's are made and assigned because most people that start know nothing about what they are actually doing. When I started I realized I was doing a small portion of a project but didnt...
Great job guys. You all really ramped up [H]ard and slowed down the overtake and now we need to keep an eye over our shoulder bc I dont doubt for a second here that you all will be pushing us from here on out.
Again Great Job
Well until it happens we will never know. I was speaking about the first year after the bucks program stops. We all know that over time people come and go for various reasons and there wont always be people to step in for them. Im sure after the race to 4 billion is over and evga takes number 1...
I think if they dropped the bucks program EVGA wouldnt drop below 6-8 million unless as you stated there was a catastrophic event. My reasoning is that so many people go to the forum with questions about the graphics cards or motherboards and eventually get interested with folding bc a lot of...
I would like to say im sorry.
I only posted what I did bc im tired of all the drama back and forth between the teams but it seems like I started some here and for that I would like to sincerely apologize. I dont disagree with anything that any of you said over here and if anyone perceived that I...
I dont necessarily mean F@H. They help out with stuff all around the forum and through pm's. As your teamate stated just be the bigger team and leave it alone
Hey normally I wouldnt ask anything like this but can you please lay off on bwm. They have done a lot for folding and are some of the nicest people you will ever talk to and have helped more people out than a lot people at evga.
Yes the jump from 8 million to 11 million coincided with the time zone challenge. There were almost 800 thousand in bigadv drops within the first hour of the tzc from just the members participating in the challenge
Lol im sure for the first few days the team id will catch a lot of people lol. And I agree with you that folding takes time to learn. While I have used the tracker from the beginning of my folding (about a month) I have learned a lot since then and have screwed around with the actual clients and...

While I thank you all for the warm welcome but for full disclosure I fold for evga. But I do try to help people with folding whenever and wherever I am. As I have only used jedi's tracker to fold I thought I could impart some stuff I learned while using it bc I think if people want to fold they...

@ amdgamer
Thanks for the welcome.
@raulavaz
With the advmethods units back up (the 912 and 925 pointers) and running you will probably see around 12-15K on each 460. The tracker has a built in game pause feature but I have never actually tried it so if you do let us know how it works

It is recommended to leave one core free when running multiple gpu's. The tracker has an option to set the number of cores so just do that. For the settings to take place you will need to stop the client you are working on and then start it again
