Before the house purchase, I had thought that he'd stay in his country and live out a well-funded, but non-glitzy life. This was based on the small amount of videos I've seen about him. I was wrong. I'm not damning him for it. Stuff like this just doesn't seem like it'd be from the same...
The suit notes that Bungie has a policy to pay employees accrued but unused vacation, paid time off, sabbatical time, and other benefits. Ryan and Bungie reportedly promised to pay.
As game developers, we are incredibly excited to be able to announce a new title to all of our fans; however, we are aware that the announcement may have come as a shock to many of you.
As with Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2 is under development and production here at PlatinumGames, and is a true...
Admittedly, the FIFA "hack" was not a good example. I can't remember which/how many of their hacks were just social hacks (gaining account access by posing as the user). There were others, but I'm too lazy to go dig through 7 years of security related reports on this stuff. As you can tell...
I meant more of the nuts and bolts of GPU/CPU aspects and not the GamePad, specifically. This is while understanding that the GamePad will be a focus and "asymetrical gameplay" will become more familiar with the public with Nintendo's (GamePad), Microsoft's (SmartGlass) and Sony's (Vita -...
Ubisoft really has a strong showing. EA has already talked bout porting over Wii U GamePad functionality for FIFA to MS' SmartGlass tech. The window of opportunity for Nintendo to capitalize on this is relatively small (I don't completely buy-in to that statement, btw). Supposedly Nintendo's...
It's not irking me. "Transparent" is not the same as "partially forthcoming" or that they've "handled them all nicely". They haven't. That's all. Sometimes they were more open, sometimes they begrudgingly admitted to an issue after being defiantly dismissive. Sometimes complaints and...
No need. I believe you on that. There were rumors of "8" being used with the Nextbox in some fashion (Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, etc.). However, if it truly gets delayed until 2014, they may go a different route. I forgot what it was, but there was something about the infinity symbol and...
There's plenty of substantiated rumors that talk about the likely guts of both systems - and they will be significantly more powerful than the Wii U. The argument is already being made that Nintendo has never been first as far as hardware specs are concerned. Their IPs/"magic" is what sells...
From what I've read, the Wii U has more RAM than either of the two. The GPU is more powerful than any console currently out there. The OoO (PS360 CPUs are in-order) CPU reportedly has three cores that can run 5 instructions. To say that the Wii U will be the most powerful console available on...
Nintendo's goal is to profit on hardware. They've stated as much. They'll do gimmicky stuff often to present consumers with "something new". The Wii became more successful than even they imagined. Sales numbers have also fallen sharply over the past year or so.
360 is a marketing strategy. They did not want the average public to think a PS3 was better than an Xbox 2 (unfortunately, this does happen). There's plenty of old dated material on this too. What you just wrote is exactly how their marketing team wants the 360 to be perceived.
720 is just...
Ditto. It's great and annoying all at the same time. Throw a PC into the mix and...
"What system do I get it for? On this one, I like xyz better. On that one, I like abc better. Then there's the PC side to it.."
Pong console for me!
That doesn't mean it's all roses and wine on the PS3. They're both great systems. Some games play better on either system. Some games play nearly evenly on both. There's give and take. Using Dragon Age: Origins as an example: The PS3 version has better textures. The 360 version plays...
If by "butt kicked", you mean only being a handful of million units behind despite launching a year later and NOT having at minimum 10% (or more) of your (MS) initial shipments fail...
Seriously. A tad fanboyish post, Steve.
Also, it's a PowerColor card. http://www.powercolor.com/Global/products_features.asp?id=402
During these final hours, spots can open up. So if you are interested in the deal, check the link/tier you're interested in. If it's not available, check again. In the past week I've seen the...
The cards are said to be delivered to them by September 1st. The only additional time is how long it'll take for them to ship the card out to you.
The $105 tier includes the game for $15 and the video card for $90.
Due to my low posts, I can't put this in the Hot Deals Thread. Apologies.

The important thing that's being pushed aside here: The game runs well on pretty much anything. Seriously. I remember having to do upgrades to play the latest Ultima title (ages ago) and everyone griped about it. Bioware releases a title that looks good and plays well on just about anything...
Frankly, I'd prefer a reasonably priced Nvidia Kepler card. With mid-range Kepler delays and uncertainty, coupled with insane 680 pricing, the Radeon 7800 series looks interesting.
