^ I think about this all the time, I see how many terribad stupid idea companies get bought up by large companies just because its fun for them to buy stupid non-profitable companies. This is the kind of fat that caused the 2000 dot com crash.

On a serious note, I am sure there is a bios related issue / incompatibility. You are best contacting eVGA or nvidia forums.
I wouldnt go with the top of the line cards of either manufacturer unless money is of no concern to you. I would get the one step down and SLI / Xfire up from there. The price/performance ratio is too out of whack to ever recommend blowing your wallet em. That said, the random weird driver...
the AMD is most definitely the bottleneck here. If you cant spare the extra $100 for a 2600k I would recommend a 2500k, I just picked one up for my brothers new computer (he is stepping up from a q6600)
and use religion as a cop out and claim that if God did not want me modding xboxs then it would not be possible, and from that moral fabric and stand point God told me it was ok to Mod the xbox's, play the religious zealot angle and spend 6-8 months in a coo coo bin.
forgot to add, was using it to play WoW for a while and the HUD would burn in so it's just a tv now for x360/wii/fios - still getting my $$$'s worth afaik.
I can speak from personal experience, my 2006 Westinghouse 37" 1080p LCD I got on Xmas ($999 from NewEgg back then was HIGHWAY ROBBERY) is STILL a fucking TANK. I pass out countless nights leaving that thing on and its still bright as fuck and hasnt need a bulb or a firmware or software...
Why dont all the developers just quit in protest, Activision would eat a huge shit sandwich, don't they have labor unions? Time to maybe get one? Yeaaa... guys you can do that.:(
Where else can you look for barebone combo deals like that? I've looked everywhere and cant find a MicroATX+i3+2gb ddr3 for >$200 :-( microATX boards are OCing just as nicely as the enthusiast boards? :eek:
