    ASUS PA246Q: 24-inch, 1920x1200, IPS

Good lord. Is there a reason that the post could not be shared here, instead of sent as a private message? Especially knowing that so many people are waiting for exactly this comparison? Sheesh, kinda the whole point of forums.

    ASUS PA246Q: 24-inch, 1920x1200, IPS

Nope - that is not their out of stock message. In fact, in all the years I have bought thousands of dollars worth of products from them, I have never seen that message or anything like it. Must be serious for them to smack down the manufacturer like that on the product page. Back to the HP...

    ASUS PA246Q: 24-inch, 1920x1200, IPS

Price dropping already, fortunately. PC Connection and PC Connection Express have the monitor for $483 shipped, but if you use a cashback site (like Fatwallet), price comes down to $472 shipped. I will probably wait until it hits the $450 mark or so, and let them work out the kinks in the...

    ASUS PA246Q: 24-inch, 1920x1200, IPS

Also waiting for the comparo from some kind soul between HPZR24W and this baby. I'm leaning towards this one due to the increased color bit depth.

    HP ZR24w

What does that mean though, in practical experience? Using say, Lightroom on Win 7 will auto detect the color gamut of your monitor and adjust accordingly? If the desktop is NOT color aware, what would it look like? Hyper saturated? More importantly, how does a wide gamut monitor...

    NEC 23" IPS EA231WMi

Yep, that is the one I am waiting for if the NEC is the same height or smaller than my current monitor. Thanks for posting the height FARK!!!

    Panasonic Plasma Lawsuit

Completely agree. I came soooo close to buying the 54V10 (is the issue also with that line, or only with the G?)

LED vs LCD vs Plasma vs DLP

Agree. I've seen the top dog DLP in several different scenarios, and it doesn't really come close to even a middle of the road plasma (Samsung 5 series and up), or Panasonic G and up.

    NEC 23" IPS EA231WMi

Can someone measure their monitor and tell me what the actual HEIGHT of the screen is? Not including the bezel. I currently have a Dell 19" 4:3 and don't want to buy this one if I am going to lose height. Thanks much.

Up or down vote on the 2209WA for gaming and graphics work

I was considering this monitor to replace, or add to my current 19" 4:3 Dell. BUT, as far as I can tell, this monitor would actually be much shorter, so I think I will wait and try to see what I can get in the 24" range, which I assume would be about the same height as my 19". I certainly...

LED vs LCD vs Plasma vs DLP

I will also vote for plasma. The LED local dimming stuff has their own problems that seem to outweigh the advantages if you read the AVS Forums enough (and believe me I do, for better or worse). After much research myself, and having owned two RPTV's (CRT, both HD), I was ready to buy the now...

    HP ZR24w

Because it's so incredulous? Agreed. I mean, this guy comes out of nowhere, posts a release date that is a good THREE WEEKS off the suggested time line by the company (late Feb or early Mar), when everyone knows release dates are HARD targets, never to be missed or delayed. Who does this guy...
