Forgot to say the OS is Windows 7 Home 64. Thanks for the replies about your own experience with these monitors, and the list at Anandtech, helps a lot, but it's still a hard choice.

After reading here, and following links to reviews, the 2209wa and the 120hz 2233rz seem like the best choices in the $300 range. I have minimal light on when using the computer, so maybe the 2209wa would be too bright? Are there any other monitors I should look at? Thanks for any suggestions...
