    E-mail Exchange Of The Day

Suing customers is a strange way to go about business. Like the previous poster said about if you could copy and share tangible objects he'd do it every day. Who wouldn't! Copying things isn't the same as theft. It's not even close. The fact no one can come up with solid numbers on how...

Ubisoft's new DRM cracked in under 25 hours

Just out of curiosity, did your friend ever buy T-shirts with the bands he liked? Go to see live shows? I only ask because everyone I know who does download music or games etc will find some way to contribute (I just want to make sure I'm not the minority here). Even if they can't all the...

Ubisoft's new DRM cracked in under 25 hours

I'm simply curious of something. We have a lot of people on here demonizing pirating. Blaming it for all the ills of PC gaming. Causing companies to go bankrupt and filling their PC's full of useless DRM. I love how Climber summed up pirates as people who will never buy anything no matter...

    'Uncrackable' DRM Lasts 24 Hours

Although I feel you may be right in some sense I have to say if Ubi gets out of making games for PC I could really care less. Please take your copy protection and go somewhere else. Make room for people who don't assume every customer is a thief. The PC industry started from very small...

Finally - News on Samsung Thin Bezel Displays is Suckage

5x1 would win me over with those 20" Dells ;) Best of both worlds then for gaming. Though watching movies on your PC wouldn't be so hot.

Finally - News on Samsung Thin Bezel Displays is Suckage

Yah I don't mean to suggest there isn't a change. I was just trying to say wider can be better as well. Like I said, his setup is nice.

Finally - News on Samsung Thin Bezel Displays is Suckage

Pricing and bezels aside I have to disagree portrait mode is the only way to go. I'm sure it works good with a lot of FPS. I'd be playing Flight Sims mostly in which case seeing more in my peripheral is more important than seeing more vertically. To me it seems like your 3 displays are...

Finally - News on Samsung Thin Bezel Displays is Suckage

You got a good deal on them for sure. Though it really isn't fair to compare a product that's been around for 2 years and can be bought second hand to a product that isn't even out yet on only price. The new monitors are better than yours in many ways. Yes currently I'd agree you got more...

Finally - News on Samsung Thin Bezel Displays is Suckage

Those are nice displays. Both of them. Though one dell 2007fps costs 400 bucks. Sooo $1200 vs $1900 then since you need 3 (the $1900 includes 3 monitors). That's not three times as much. That's about 60% more. Plus if these displays are really 2560x1600 then it's 7680x1600 vs 3600x1600. So you'd...

Finally - News on Samsung Thin Bezel Displays is Suckage

Well if they really are higher quality panels (I think they have to be IPS or PVA at least) that alone makes it interesting. If they really could cram 2560x1600 in there I'd love it. If text was hard to read I'd just increase font size. That would make it the three monitors I go for around...

Finally - News on Samsung Thin Bezel Displays is Suckage

I was afraid of as much. I thought there were a few 2560x1600 monitors out there that were 27" a couple years ago (a quick search revealed none atm). That is the one thing CRT's still have over LCD's. Back in the day you could crank your resolution if you wanted and then scale back down for...

Finally - News on Samsung Thin Bezel Displays is Suckage

Some sources are also listing that the display resolution is 2560x1600 Which at least to me makes these appealing for some very sharp looking games. You would really have to crank the DPI settings in Windows for everyday use though ;) This resolution quote though is conflicting. I've...

Net Neutrality May Worsen BitTorrent Experience

I wonder if there are any movements out there to make the cable/telephone lines owned by the people. Obviously the current owners wouldn't be pleased to hear that ;). As I understand it now though, roads are currently owned by the people and maintained by taxes. Same could work for internet...

Net Neutrality May Worsen BitTorrent Experience

As far as I know that's what a dedicated server is for. The host is relaying player position, whether they are shooting, where they shot and what they hit. So that only counts as 1 connection. I think this is the standard operating mode for dedicated servers though there may be exceptions...

Net Neutrality May Worsen BitTorrent Experience

I realise a lot of ISP's out there want to make the most of their bandwidth. However I think we need to be stressing the internet to the max! The more we can show current bandwidth is not enough, the faster these companies will upgrade the infrastructure to support more bandwidth at faster...
