in bf3 the 7970 is only 3-5fps faster than gtx580. 3gb of vram is overkill for 1080p. im not saying what he should get, im only stating the facts. but dont forget that bf3 is still stuttering with AMD cards, including the 7970.

i can tell the difference every time when i swap nvidia and amd cards. different color tone, lighting, shadow, and the way the engine runs in motion.

7970 is nothing but a 6970 on a 28nm that costs $600 dollars. cant wait for $349-$399 Kepler 660/670 in March that beats 7970.

Recon3d is the best sound card i've used so far, i used numerous creative, asus and ht sound cards. but you go ahead and troll all you want.

i got Recon3d as well and i am able to switch my 2.1 speakers and headphones on the fly, no problems with mic and no traces of staticy sound.

im glad to hear that because i was the only one here with a Recon3D before you got yours and people were calling a "troll" and things like "how much does Creative pay you", etc. if you had previous dedicated sound cards the Recon3D would of been even more amazing due to 100% stable drivers...

no wonder Creative Labs sound cards ignored 7.1 like plague.

Recon3d has a brand new sound precessor, no more CMSS. As for what sounds better? well, games have a far better audio positioning during gameplay, audio sounds much cleaner and has a really strong kick to it, maybe due to 600ohm amp? who knows. im telling you, the sound in games is no joke...

you can conrol bass and treble thru equalizer.

i tried every configuration there is and i was able to set bass and treble in the control panel. Check your speakers instead.
