I think I'm coming into this conversation late...but, I have Verizon, and am currently sporting the HTC Ozone. Probably the best phone I've owned.
Cooked ROMs over at XDA Devs bring it up to WinMo 6.5, at least until Verizon releases the update.
RAM manufacturers are producing more DDR3 RAM, and less DDR2 RAM. It hasn't really shown in the market yet, but past trends predict that it will. This is where Supply and Demand comes into play, people would rather upgrade their computers than buy new ones, so demand raises, and less DDR2 is...
For the most part, DDR3 is becoming the standard. With LGA775 slowly becoming less and less popular, and P55/X58 and comparable AMD chipsets coming out, DDR3 is getting more and more mainstream.
Same happened with DDR1.
