1000w+ is good, I have a 1000w silverstone that does 1100 peak and 85 amps, and I can still get it to shut down if I push 1.5v vcore & 1.3v/1.7v to my 3x 7950's. If I need to bench, I'd wish i had 1250-1500watts.

You cant go wrong with a 680 or 7970. Performance will end up the same. 7970 still holds the quad-gpu world record in benchmarks, while 680 performs consistently better in 1080P in all games. 7970 allows overvoltage of memory and gpu, 680 doesnt, but even so when you boost the 680's clock...

To the FXAA detractors, their opinion doesn't matter to developers, since FXAA will be in all future games anyway. If you don't like it, turn it off and force older AAs.

VTX3d 7970 X-OC and Sapphire Dual-X 7970 OC use the nicest reference 7970 board builds. I like the GTX 680 too. Would get one of the three.

Yup, either keep ur 6950CF, get the 680 / 7970 now, or save up for a GK110 / top end Sea Islands single GPU card.

You would have lower fps, but that isn't the only thing that matters. I would rather have the single gpu instead of two 6950's. You should really be looking at a GTX680 or HD7970 with the intent of overclocking.

I'm an AMD/ATI fan and I'll tell you this straight up, they aren't going to make it easy for you. If you want good compatibility go with Nvidia. You might have a little more luck not getting BSOD's. I have an HD6850 right now, but in the past i've had a dozen ati cards and nvidia cards...

Woot my OS is a decade old (Version 2002 XP). It still runs great. I have Win 7 64 Pro on my other PC, I like both OS's

NV obviously culling tree branch entity mesh for performance. AMD either too stupid/lazy to care about doing the same thing for some boost in fps. I could care less about branches, I like the NV approach.
