I am currently running an ASUS DirectCUII 670 2GB card I bought from another member a while back. I am looking to upgrade, but have a small budget that I need to use wisely.
I am looking for either a GTX 970 around $100, a GTX 1060 around $150, or a GTX 980Ti around $200. I have used and like...
Pictures of the board are too blurry to see anything. If you could circle the spot they came from, that would help too. The chips sorta look like capacitors to me.
If you didn't crack them, you can just solder them back on. The bigger issue is if you ripped the solder pads completely off, or...

First sale thread, please be kind! Cleaning out my closet to pay for the parts I bought from other members. Not sure about what prices these go for, so send me an offer if you want it!!
Most prices are OBO. I will entertain...
I ordered from AccessoriesWhole. Paid for the 27Q LED-P with Perfect Pixels, $500. They claim it is supposed to be a special, A+ grade pixel perfect quality, guaranteed to have no dead or stuck pixels. I'm hoping everything goes smoothly. >^_^<
Yes, the 27Q with the pivot stand and perfect pixel guarantee is the one I am looking at on eBay. I think they did call it the LED-P.
Actually, I just ordered it on eBay... Hope it looks as good in person...
Hmm... Yes, from the sound of it, the Samsung 830 will be my choice. It is going to be a dual boot pc, but I need it to work in OSX mainly.
Still curious about what problems PGHammer was talking about though...
Ok, thanks. Thats good to know. It looks like I can run those all at once then. Still leaning towards the Sabertooth Z77, but maybe the Gene will work after all...
Hello? Any one know how the PCIe slots would work in this configuration? (With a PCIeX16 GTX 670 card, a PCIeX1 Firewire card, and a PCIeX1 sound card.)
I don't know about the OSD menu, but the Gold version just refers to the monitor having extra inputs available (hdmi, displayport, component, vga, dvi). The 27Q just has the Dual Link Dvi. Other than that, the panels themselves are the same in both models.
I have heard a lot of good reviews about these monitors, so I think I will go ahead and get one. These Crossovers are supposed to have metal framing and adjustable stands, which is a plus for me.
Well... I think I will be going for the Samsung 830. I may splurge on the one on sale... Seems to be a lot of good reviews and is Mac friendly. They all seem pretty close, but I feel this one is probably the best fit for me.
Thank you for all the help!
Hmm... Thank you. Sounds like a good board.
I was wondering something, the Gene has two PCIeX16 graphics slots (at 16X/0X and 8X/8X) and one PCIeX1 slot. If I put the two PCIeX1 cards in, and the GTX 670 in, would they work? Or would that drop the GTX down to the 8X speed? I have never done...
My case is a Tsunami, and I have a full ATX in there right now, so the ATX size is fine. I got the Gene-Z as part of a bundle deal from a forum member, but I am worried about fitting a GTX 670 and 2 PCIe cards in it at once (I might leave off the sound card if I have to right now...). Also, I...
I have been reading some reviews and something they keep mentioning is the BSOD problem with Sandforce controllers, and that Intel has reduced the problem but it still occurs sometimes. What is that about?
Hello?
Anyone have experience with the Maximus IV Gene-Z? Problems? Is it stable/reliable?
Another Z77 board you would recommend instead of the Sabertooth?
Interesting... Good link.
So from what I understand, I could manually overprovision the Samsung 830 to match the intel by just partitioning it as a 120GB instead of 128GB and get the same protections?
Very neat concept. Could be lots of fun if the level design is handled properly. Definitely similar concept as echochrome, but more of a mario style from the looks of it. Cool.
