are people with the tint issue all in america and where are the monitors made.
I have REV A00 from the Czech republic, purchased on the UK.
Dated Jul 2009, and i have no tint issues what so ever.
2007fp on ebay is arround £175-200, But brand new with dell 3yr warranty its £300, its just hard to justify that ammount of money for 2 side monitors, i need some cheap TN panels !
2209wa is only £200 new, but with a U2410 1920*1200 i kinda wanted to have 3 monitors of the same height...
nope nottingham england, im struggling to find ANY 1600*1200 screens no matter what the make at the moment, only really DELL/HP still sell them. Its not just the shipping from the US, its also liable for import duty and sales tax. I would guess in the UK add an additional 30% or so.
I have a new U2410 and im looking for 2 side monitors, due to space considerations i can't use another 2*24" cheap panels, so im looking for approx a 20" 1600*1200 display, the larger i go the more angle i will need to use on them.
The dell 2007fp looks great, but seems kinda pricey for side...
Looking for a 22" widescreen ideally 1920*1200, 1080 will do, dull black bezel this as possible,
Height 14.5", width as small as possible,
Any ideas pls ?
Dont have to go into the full menu, as you can create shortcuts for the keys.
So basically to change input , press bottom button, press 3rd button, then choose input.
Though quick change would be nice
Remember its not really the total ammount of data but the data change rate thats really important, he could just hire rack space in another data center and do IP replication constantly depending on his rate of change might work out better, but 15 TB is alot of data via IP.
What storage...
You need a proper backup program, im pretty sure backup exec will be fine for the 1 server, though the adult version is netbackup, could use ibm products TSM but its kinda hard to manage if your not used to it.
These will do one major backup, then incrementals over a set period, though a full...
Lostman, you can get it direct from dell for sub 500, or online at pc buyit for 470. Deel list prices are always obsurd.
ok more pics - All taken in a pitch black room, as its midnight in the uk :) only light was my camera screen.
I took lots of shots, but settled on a couple of black ones...
Didnt do any pics of unboxing , or the look of the unit as well its prety much par for the course, minus inputs.
Control UI and buttons are kinda wierd to get used to.
Ok some pics, my camera is kinda poor,
First set of pics are the different modes and 2nd set are different modes vs my TN Samsun 2232BW, to be fair i havent noticed any noticeable lag in any mode.
Normal Mode
Multimedia Mode
Game Mode
Warm Mode
Cool Mode
Adobe RGB Mode
sRGB Mode...
Using mine at the moment, no issues at all. The colour difference comparing is to my samsung screen is pretty huge. Colours are just no more vivid and makes the TN panel looked washed out.
Anything specific people want me to test ?
U2410 Input lag
SRGB Mode: MIN 21ms. AVG 31ms. MAX 34ms
Game Mode: MIN 0ms. AVG 14ms. MAX 29ms
Cnet redid the figures, seems its pretty much the same as the 2209WA, hope mine comes soon !

Dell UltraSharp U2410...
freeNAS is a decent linux distro you can boot from a USB key, so all your data is on the drives and its not used for the OS. Also supports software raid options, for data storage Raid 5 is fine aslong as you use enough drives, my preference is 4+1 or 8+1 to maximise spindle counts on full stripe...
heard the T260HD as ned input lag because of the TV tuner ?
Heard pretty much just good things about the asus was my prime choice until i felt rich and ordered a U2410.
I would go with asus
SSD will be used as my boot disk for win7 + everquest game files approx 10Gb, and if space my 2nd EQ game directory arround 7gb. Also my current flavour of the month game most likely.
Cost isnt the main issue, but value for money is important. Thinking arround 60GB ish in size, i dont...
after i posted i did consider that, and well yes perhaps maybe could be i made a tiny mistake  yes 1920*1200, but aye seperate thread. Ill post my comments when i receive it, guess my old 8800GT might need an upgrade with the resolution hike.
just orderd mine for Dell Uk business, was £424 + Tax, as i claim tax back anyway £424 !, oh and sold my 22"" samsung for 74, so cost me £350. Should be here by friday i hope, shame i threw away my last CRT 3 months ago so i cant test input lag.
I had decided to buy a cheap screen after...
You all think i should order this tomorrow or the 2709 there approximately the same price, i know the resolution is the same, but is the extra display space worth it to go for an older model ?
im SOOO torn about what to do ?
not sure. likely a serial ethernet port for configuration or even signal as a console.
The seperate coxial connections look like physical seperate lines, aka like pins of the normal monitor socket just seperate as the last one from your pic stats vsync which normally resides on one of the pins...

HP 2475 is down to £400, kinda hard to justify another £200 for the dell, i could purchase a 2474 and a 2209WA for the same price as the U2410.
Need some reviews !
Available in the UK now, from Dell Business. £579 inc Vat and shipping expected delivery date 23rd of August.
Compared to the US its expensive but best price for the 2408wfp is arround 530 ish, so seems reasonable.
