I was in a similar situation ... perfectly fine computer but started getting the itch for a new computer and old case (CM Stacker) was starting to rattle and started to drive me nuts !
I went from i7-920 (OC to 3.8), Intel X-25 (80gb) to i-7 4770K and Samsung 840 Pro (256gb) ... kept same...
I would second a set of bookshelf speakers and a T-amp. I went with that kind of set up after the amp from my Klipsch 5.1 Ultra died again
I got the Lepai LP-2020A+ ($30), Klipsch RB-10 ($150/pair), and a Polk PSW10 ($90)
I'm using the $30 Lepai LP-2020A+ to power the fronts (went with a 2.1 setup)
The Dayton didn't fit the plate cut out of the original Bash amp. So I went to HomeDepot and got them to cut me a board that would cover it and had a friend cut out to put the Dayton amp .. the cut will be 6.5" x 7.5"
You might be better off just getting any bookshelf speakers from Best Buy or where ever. I remember when the Ultras were being sold, those speakers were being sold for around $20 or so.
Just wanted to post a follow-up with my conversion of the Klipsch sub with the Dayton amp... sorry it took so long, I don't have tools to cut wood so had to rely on others.
In the meantime, I picked up the Polk PSW10 from Amazon for $100.
With the new Dayton amp everything worked out...

For the most part I didn't have problems with e-mails to Elliot through out. The only time I did have a problem was the past 2wks when I was promised it would be sent out then only after I e-mailed I got replies saying he needed...
I got mine and I'm very happy with it. I have my 920 @ 3.8GHz and I don't hear the heatsink at all. Only the GTX285 after extended use.
