    Dell U2711

I agree, many people like me don't need the wider gamut but if you like the massive resolution and you don't want a used product of some years ago, you can only use a wide gamut display. Cheers!!

    Dell U2711

Hi, are you sure that NEC will make an LCD with this panel? Do you know it’s price? In this thread you are comparing the Dell with an hypothetical NEC that does not exist…..what's the point? DELL prices changes during time, the new 27 will have a lower price than $1000 or EUR 1000, like...

Hi, the new panel is an LG LM270WQ1. I’m another fan of the new iMac display but I would like to see a good review and calibration report of it. On the paper seems to be a great deal if you don’t mind the upgrade limits of the iMac: storage in just one drive, no raid and lack of eSata port.

Is the NEC 2690WUXi2 Worth It for Photos/Printing?

Hi, my suggestion is to check if your friend needs a wide-gamut monitor. If he needs a better coverage of wider colour spaces like Adobe RGB it’s ok, otherwise he should consider that any “non-tagged” item such as video, OS icons or images without an embedded colour profile will be...

Hi Luke, Based on your experience can you suggest an alternative? In this price range the products are always the same: Lacie 324, Eizo (PVA Panels), HP LP2475, DELL (but I don’t like them because they’re all wide-gamut) etc … I’m thinking to buy it anyway and get the hood to prevent high...

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes I know, but I live in EU and I have to buy it (refurbished) in the US, so no warranty, customs etc ... for the same price I prefer to buy a brand new item in my country instead of a refurbished one abroad.

Hi, maybe the A-TW polarizer makes a big difference but actually there's no monitor under EUR 1000 that have it!! The Dell U2410 can be an alternative but I've red some issue regarding the wide-gamut on the previous 2408WFP and anyway it doesn’t have the polarizer. So we would like to...

Hi Luke, thanks fo your post, some feedback on this monitor will be really appreciated. I'm thinking to buy one of them because I would like to get a good sRGB monitor (without wide-gamut); I've read reagarding the lack of the A-TW polarizer in this model but I think that I'll live with some...

    Photography Work Monitor 600€

Hi, many thanks for the replies, I've checked after my post on the NEC website and I've noticed that 2490 (v1 and v2) are sRBG monitor and 2690 (v1 and v2) are wide gamut monitor, sorry but I've not noticed this difference before. Also the Spectraview FAQ's page has been very useful...

    Photography Work Monitor 600€

Hi, I've red all the thread and I'm not really satisfacted from the final choice because the HP 2480 is out from the LCD range of this discussion, anyway I'm curious to see the same test shot of this model. I'm interested because I would like to get a good LCD for my amatour photography...

Hi, first of all thank you guys because I've found a lot of interesting informations on this thread ;) Now please can somebody point me to an European shop that have the 2490WUXi in stock? This monitor seems to be hard to find here in Europe, I'm finding only the V2!! Anyway the...
