Hello I have one of these monitors, have had it for a few years now. I have noticed some dark spots near the center of the screen lately on bright scenes, may have always been there but it's either becoming more noticeable or maybe I just noticed and I will never be able to sop noticing them... -

DIY NAS low powered build!
As a server only you can't do better than Gen8 microserver. Even transcoding would be easy, x86 CPUs are all of them fast enough nowadays. You won´t win any benchmark competitions but you can transcode fast enough to stream to oher devices and it´s pretty much silent in my experience.- fr500

Even if you manage to power the GPU, you have to disipate the heat. 300W would be plenty for your setup but that setup is not enough for sleeping on highest settings- fr500

I wouldn't go with RAID AT ALL For a media storage server it makes no sense (redundancy does make sense, just not RAID). I'd go for something userspace on top a reliable filesystem such as GlusterFS. That way you can keep all your drives in a single BIG pool and replicate what is important with...- fr500

No it won't, you need to tinker about the mounting of the fan though, let me find some pics and I'll post back Edit: Here we go Al you need to do is offset the fan down a bit with zip ties or dual side tape and voila, I have a 570HD in there and it won't touch the RAD- fr500

No, one pfsense for all the VMs, pfsense supports dual wan, you don't need NIC bonding AT ALL. Internet failover != link failover, you just want to hook up one NIC to each ISP, I guess you'd need a third NIC for the LAN but you could use vlans or subinterfaces.- fr500

You need something else, that's not link aggregation, link aggregation provides redundancy between switches or between switches and servers, not Internet redundancy. It's a slim one, it has a door with a release button and the crossflow fan isn't that good anyway in my experience, I'd get 2 noctua 80mm fans, a Y splitter and a fanmate, that way you can have it decently quiet for normal use and ramp it up while gaming (or speedfan if your board supports 2 pwm...- fr500

I can't answer because I have no experience, I haven't found much info on this but I always wanted to look into the technology.
