New SFF gamer case: Mini ITX

Looks good! Well designed and thought out. It seems to be a rarity these days. My biggest criticism is the front-end. It looks like someone took the Nexus Psile and beat it with the ugly stick :p It needs some detail on there and the DVD drive needs hiding. The problem with Slimline drives is...

    [YourNewCase] SUGO ... 5! GO!

Does anybody know of any more powerful PSUs that will fit inside the SG05 (without heavy modding and with the DVD drive still in)? I ordered a new CPU a couple of days ago because I found a cracking price. Came yesterday, machine won't POST with everything connected up. Spec as follows; Intel...

    Zotac Atom/Ion board coming.

It wouldn't really. Not sure about US pricing, but the Point of View Atom 330 board is expected to release at about the same price as the 9300-WiFi in the UK. You'd have to add the price of the E5200 on top which is really quite a big jump in price. Of course you could use a cheaper board than...

    ZOTAC GeForce 9300-ITX WiFi

It takes the mick really, doesn't it? The explanation i was given over at The Green Button is codecs won't start going 64-bit until the WMC community makes the move. The daft bit being that the community can't make the move until the support is there. It'll probably take something drastic like...

    How quiet are SG05s?

There's no reason why it couldn't be near silent. Swap out the stock fan for an S-Flex, add a fan to the side blowing across the CPU and chipset, drop the speed on both of those down. Replace the PSU fan with something quieter and possibly the GPU cooler depending on what it is. The HDD should...

    [YourNewCase] SUGO ... 5! GO!

If i decide to keep it like that i'll be drilling holes tomorrow. It's sat on an NT06-E, which was slightly too tall so i messed around with the angles of the heat pipes til it was low enough. There's some velcro cable ties stopping it sliding sideways in to the GPU (that colourful stripe you...

    [YourNewCase] SUGO ... 5! GO!

Well, that's one option. I prefer the simpler approach ;) Meet the product of my evening!

    [YourNewCase] SUGO ... 5! GO!

A PicoPSU if you're not running a dedicated GPU. A 90W or 120W version will suffice for most systems and it frees up loads of room in the case (though you could go much smaller if there's no graphics card going in there, no reason to buy the SG05!).

First SFF build. Mini-ITX. Help a newb out! :)

Small doesn't mean quiet. Small means small. If you want quiet then the Antec Solo is the easiest way forward. You can make the SG05 quiet, but be prepared to work for it. Even swapping the stock fan for an S-Flex doesn't make the system quiet (in my opinion), it just brings it down to...

First SFF build. Mini-ITX. Help a newb out! :)

Probably better with the 4770 and a 2.5" HDD really. Lower power draw and heat output on the 4770 (although you guys in the US seem to be paying through the nose for it! £75 inc taxes over here in blighty!). I've been testing my SG05 with a 2.5" HDD and 3.5" HDD installed, airflow seems to be a...
