I've just clean installed windows 10 on my machine, after I did the free upgrade a while back.
Everything seems fine but it takes about 10-11 spins of the dots before it logs in. I didn't have this issue when I was using the upgraded version and i've tried different drivers but it always...
I'm on my second Gigabyte Z97X-SOC, first died would reboot with no display output.
This one just seems to have a issue with rebooting, it will just randonly restart even when it's not underload. I've ran prime 95 and real bench and it will loop fine, with no problems.
I'm looking for...
I've just built a new system with a Gigabyte Z97x-SOC, everything seems to be running ok apart from this.
The bios seems to be a bit buggy, I get an error when exiting without saving in a certain mode but my main concern is the system information viewer.
If you using the same board is the...
I'm looking for a screen to replace my current Dell U2412, with something that is higher res.
I've tried a Acer B326HUL and the blur on it was horrendous, and I could see the Vertical bars which is a problem with that panel.
Nec's are a bit out of my price range.
I've not tried the 32"...
m looking for a cooler for a 4970k on a Gigabyte Z97X-SOC.
I've noticed the Noctua NH-D15 but this seems to block the first PCIE port, so that is a no go. Just looking for cooler options that won't block these.
Budget max really £70-£80 but i'm open to suggestions?
Hi,
Just saw your reflow guide on a DV2000 that you posted last year, it's a brilliant guide. I was wondering if you could offer a bit of advice. I've got a compaq f500, think it's a HPG6000 clone and its got a problem with the wifi switch not activating and the card not appearing in device...
Anybody have a problem with dust stuck in the screen. I had two replacement and this one seems ok but seems to have dust stuck inbetween the screen. The original one I had was fine but then a bug got stuck in there.
Are these screen particularly prone to the dust/bug problem or am I just having...
He's the calibration report from the screen I got.
Green tint on the left, darker on the right.
Have also noticed the dithering as mentioned in one of the previous posts.
Just got one, no excessive backlight bleed but has the dreaded green/pink tint.
Will post the calibration report up later.
Seems like this might be like the HP LP2475W all over again!
4. Top third of panel moves back from bezel when pressed. Seems its not properly fixed. Same in all 3 panels I've had (design fault?)
Ips panels get hot so they leave room for the panel to expand, this is why it seems loose in the casing.
Well considering the Hp has got an LG panel in it i'm not holding out to much hope for this screen, but only time will tell.
I emailed LG Uk and they hadn't got a clue when it would be out. see below.
"We do not at present have any information as to the planned release of this model in the...
I had exactly the same problem with the dell 3008. Burning eyes after a while, getting tired when using it and not being able to look at the screen for prolonged period.
Personally I though it was because of how bright the backlight was, even when it was turned right down.
Obviously some...
Thanks for the info biges.
I'm contemplating buying the Eizo S2242W as the quality control by LG on most ips panels seems appaling.
You get off centre glow on ips panels apart from the 2490wuxi, so that doesnt really matter.
I'm viewing the panels head on so can't really see a problem with...
I was looking at this screen, as i'm fed up with the problems I had lg based ips screens.
I could get 2 of these for a bit more than the price of an nec 2490wuxi.
Yeah I thought longer screws would be one option, but its the hassle of finding the right length and thread.
My bracket is 200mm in sixe but also has the vesa 100mm mounting holes.
Will have to have a look around or even go for a smaller bracket.
Any idea How I wallmount the Dell 3008wfp LCD.
When I take the stand off, the is a hole where the stand fits in.
I had a hp previously and when the stand came the screw holes were flush with the back of the monitor. This is pretty much the same with every screen i've seen apart from the...

If I try that test the bottom especially left side has a green hue to it.
Can anybody with a 3008 run the test, and report back.
Just received a Brand New Dell 3008wfp a02.
Check the unit over and at first the left hand side had a green tinge and the right a pink tinge.
I've adjusted the settings and it seems to have toned down quite alot, but you can still notice a variation.
Has anybody else experience this?
I gave up in the end.
Had two brand new units both had the pink/green tint issue.
tried a refurb unit, bezel wasn't fixed on properly and had bad yellowing at the edges of the screen.
It's going back for a refund and i've bought a nec 2490wuxi which I got today.
Also noticed a text fringing...
I've had 2 so far both have exhibited the green/pink hue problem.
If I could get one without this problem, I would keep one as it seems like a great monitor.
I purchased directly from hp about a week ago and received a model with the firmware bug and pink tint.
It just seems like their is no quality control in place to be honest, and there just hoping people dont notice.
I've got another question.
Does it take a while for the screen to warm up, when turned on the white seems grey. Then after a while it brightens up, is this normal?
I've got a very slight yellow cast on the right side, but seems like most of them have. I'm just gonna enjoy the monitor rather than nit pick over it.
Got to admit the menu system is brilliant far better than the hp i've got.
I was getting warmer pink on right, green on left but what your seeing maybe my poor photo lol. But anyway we are both seein warmer on right, cooler on left.
Is it worth trying another panel? as other that that issue it is perfect.
