I still can't get into 75 or 76Hz. The monitor display will always tell me @60Hz, but I one time with the manual settings the monitor started displaying horizontal artifacting. I'm using a 9800GT with latest drivers. Not sure what I could be doing wrong.
One of the problems you will run into is if you are doing any kind of image editing and then print these images out, the colors probably wont match. They will look much more vibrant on your computer than the printer because your monitor is pushing the contrast and saturation.
You'll notice...
When I try this my monitor gives me an error on a black screen that says my timings are not supported by the monitor. Looks like the 75Hz no workie for me.
This is the EXACT same issue mine had, same spot exactly. My exchange sadly has some uniformity issues where the first one didnt, but oh well, that front polarizer tear is horrible. Weird its happened to more than just me.
If I look really hard I can see some uniformity issues. But again, compared to the Samsung 2252BW and HP w2207h TN panels I had before, its in a different league. I can deal with a little uniformity issues with all of the other pluses that this monitor brings to the table.
I think the first...
Im much happpier with this Dell monitor than my previous Samsung or HP w2207h monitors. I'm a gamer first that does photo editing second as well. Input lag was better on those but the bad viewing angles and backlight bleed really distracted me. Maybe I don't notice input lag as much as some...
Well, Fedex decided I wasn't home and didn't deliver the package. Bastards are going to come around again tomorrow, maybe they'll pick the right house because I KNOW they didnt come here. I took today off so I could play with this monitor so its a bummer.
Wish UPS had delivered mine.
First time I called I got a rep who wouldnt sell it to me for $215...he then recommended some 24" monitor for $239 that he said was "better". I got off the line quickly too.
Glad I got in on the deal with Marcus. Regardless I think $299 is still a good price for this and I was ready and...
Seems like everyone I know that has had this problem has been with an ATI card...I'm not sure what could fix it though, never owned an ATI card so I dont know my way around the settings to see if thats whats causing it.
There were a few S-IPS models (the 2007WFP was one) where they silently switched to PVA, and a few popular TN models where high and low quality panels were mixed up and it has basically a lottery as to what you were going to get.
I don't think this will happen with this 2209WA at least for...
Yeah my buddy had a 2007WFP with the IPS and man I was jealous when my Samsung monitor didnt come close to his. But it died, I got a refund, and here I am.
Now he's pissed he doesnt have enough cash laying around to pick up two of these.
Mine died after 8 months of owning it.
Over the course of a few days I could start to slowly tell that the top half of the monitor was becoming dimmer than the bottom half, and when then one day it was really noticeable. Just faded.
Then the top left corner would go out. Kind of an inky...
I gave Marcus a Call and got his voicemail. I'm going to try again in an hour, maybe he is at lunch. I've wanted a 2007WFP since my roommate bought one but the cost and panel lottery scared me. I just bought an HP w2207h this week, but I'm going to take it back and order this Dell 2209WA, Marcus...
