I'm in the same boat right now. Right now the 2420Z is $300 on Amazon and the 2430T is $380 and I don't want to spend the extra $$$ if it's not worth it.

Looks like I am going to choose between selling my 7970 and going with a 970 or 390/x or buying a new 280/x to crossfire. Reading about some crossfire issues with project cars is concerning though since I've been playing it quite a bit along with Dirt Rally.

Mine is a C2 so it's a little limited on its overclocking abilities.

As long as I can use the same settings and the difference in frames isn't too large I am ok with saving some $$$. Well, I am aiming for ~4.4GHz for an over clock so hopefully my 212+ is enough for that. Power is not a huge issue unless I had to upgrade my PSU if I decided to add another 7970.
