I appreciate the price/performance, and I love the quiet designs that have made all my cards since the 4000 series not be the loudest component in my system.
The BP6 was great fun. I was convinced that I wanted great cooling in mine, so I cut holes for 2 120mm fans into my case and mounted Sunon 120mm fans. They were rated at something like 112cfm... man, were they loud. I still have one of them, but that is all I have from my BP6 days. *sniff*.
I've been using a couple of SPARC boxes at work for the past few years. I'm not much more than just an average UNIX user, so I've been struggling to find the best use for these boxes. They (there are 3) are all T2000 boxes, so they have CoolThreads chips. 8 cores, 32 threads, but only 1 FPU...
Anything quieter than stock cooling is a requirement, if I can buy that rather than apply an aftermarket cooler I'll do that every time. The Twin Frozr line of cards is always on my short list.
