using an imac 27" as a monitor is an interesting idea, as long as your other computer has mini-displayport output.. however the imac does not sleep when used as a monitor so you'd be running two computers constantly

I will probably follow 10e's lead and remove the frame from the FP241VW and attach it to an Ergotron. I haven't had the chance to see one up close yet, so that plan may change.
