I think that would be great. You could run around and hack apart a whole family of unicorns in their sacred grove, leaving a trail of unicorn heads and blood splatter in your wake. You could then gather the horns and combine them in your horadric cube to make the demon slayer sword.
GFWL doesn't bother me. What does bother me is being promted to create a live account each time I play. I hope they include a fix for that in the next patch.
Hardly conclusive evidence.
In my opinion they don't care about PC UT3 sales. They've got Gears now. Gears is their flagship franchise and its doing incredibly well. It's gonna fill their pockets exceptionally over the next while. This is why I'm thankful for it. Cuz they didn't HAVE to...
From my perspective, this upcoming release is a form of thanks. I appreciate it goes both ways. Lets just not act like spoiled children.
As for your comment on what actually sells games. You forgot about cool looking box art.:D Really, do you have any statistics on what sells games?
WE should have. Speak for youself buddy. They don't OWE you anything. Your arrogance is numbing. And its that attitude that kind of attitude that will push them away completely. If anything, you should be thanking them for enriching your life with the wonderful software you've been able to...
No need to rant. I could write an essay on the subject. I was only giving
Zero82z something tangible to consider since his arguments appear to require such evidence.
Press and stats do not determine how good a game is. That depends on individual taste.
Lets not be so spoiled. We are...
No kidding. The action rpg is in hibernation right now. Have you seen any screens of Demonicon: The Dark Eye? Crazy looking. I'm trying not to think about Diablo 3 but its so hard. Those 2 are the only on my radar at the moment. Darksiders Wrath of War may release this year but its more of...
Well I fired it up last night after the update. I played the first campaign mission on high settings. Before starting the next mission I cranked the visuals to ultra, save the rain, which I left at medium. The game ran flawlessly. Thank God. And thank Relic for delivering such an incredible...
Who do you classify the vast majority? The forums? There seem to be more people complaining about games rather than praising them in forums. Obviously cuz they're not playing. If you look at a site like game rankings, clearly UT3 was well recieved. Garning a press average over 80%. Does...
Apology unneccesary. No need to check myself dude. Quake 3 arena is STILL on the hard drive. It is one of my most treasured gaming experiences. I played UT back in the day as well. Yes, it was awesome, but I still preferred Quake 3. As for UT2003 being alot different feeling than UT? Duh...
Bought it, played for a few hours. This game would be freakin awesome if the year was 2006. I am just too spoiled with current gen visuals to be inspired to play through the same old building/warehouse corridors of this game. Next.
Relax guy! Listen. Remember back when UT2003 came out and lots of "purists" hated it. Well what did they do? They fixed it, right? UT2004. Come on. Have a little faith.
For the record, UT2003, or as I like to call it "Unreal Quake", was a masterpiece.
Epic gets tons of flak these...
Bought it today, installed, watched the cutscene, started the single player campaign and...CRASH. What a fuckin joke! Relic has now sunk to the depths of such developers as DICE and their BF2142. Being overly dramatic. Shit happens. I like Relic and know they're hard at work fixing it...
Both are worth playing. I preferred Warhead for numerous reasons. The alien AI kicks your ass much harder than it did in the first. There are more vehicles and they are much easier to drive. I liked the new weapons in Warhead: the grenade launcher, the dual machine hand guns and the...
I liked it also. Graphics and art direction were top knotch. It is a single play through game for me. I can't see myself going back any time soon. Some of the jumping puzzles were tiresome near the end. The game excelled when speed was maintained and you were jumping onto cranes and the...
Herman Miller Aeron
I'm happy to gloat I have one of these babies. Nearly as comfortable as a high end couch. For those 10+ hour sessions. Like I have time for those anymore:D

LOL
Regarding quick-time events. Get rid of them. I don't want interactive cutscenes. In some games they absolutely ruin the flow of gameplay.
On topic. Watched the trailer. Incredible. Can't wait. Feel a little more optimistic about a possible 2009 release.

Never played the original. I loved mdk2s blend of gameplay, epic large scale environments and sense of humor. Personally, Bioware at their finest. What happened to games like that?
I pretty much agree with everyone in some form or another. As bad as it sounds, their loss is our gain. Really, they need to take their collective heads out of their asses and devs need to stop selling out these goofballs. When I heard ID sold the publishing rights to RAGE, I nearly puked. I...
Hey. I'm having a terrible time trying to get Battlefield 2142 to run on Vista 32 bit. I'm getting kicked due to punkbuster. I've got UAC off. I've tried configuring the vista firewall to allow punkbuster through and even turned firewalll off completely to no avail. I'm not running any 3rd...
Probably not. Carmack is a programming guru. But the two will make an excellent birthday present to myself. Oh, I'll throw in a copy of Starcraft 2 as well. I can't wait.:D
Microsoft does the same thing with Halo 3. We all know a PC version is coming. They stall in order to generate console sales from those of us unwilling to wait the 3 years for it to arrive on our glorious platform. There must be SOMETHING to it. Drives me nuts as well. You know what drives...
This game is getting a bit of a hard time from the online press. Game Rankings has it at about 62% overall. Play Magazine online gave it a 9.5/10. WTF? Halverson had something funny to say about the online press reviewers. Check it:
"To a great degree the public is now a far better...
