That's not going to happen for a long while. Just because halo cards aren't made anymore doesn't mean gaming GPUs disappear. Not to mention the huge installed base of gaming GPUs out there.
Just as AMD has made a choice to divert wafers to AI it appears NV is doing the same thing. Better HODL your GPUs until we get some relief from the VRAM companies.
Yeah, some want AMD cards, less than 10% of the market wants them. From a business standpoint, that means no one wants your shit. No business can survive that kind of market share unless it is ultra-high margin/volume.
With that said, I take no joy in this reality. I buy halo and NV provides...
If true, it is a mistake in my mind that they don't allocate more wafers to their floundering discrete GPU business. They are quickly becoming a forgotten brand in that market at the rate their share is dropping. Their share percentage is sharing a lot of similarities to Matrox and how they...
Their discrete GPU division is fucked. The rest of the company is doing great business. AMD needs to figure out why they can't beat NV in the GPU business and then maybe prices will come down when they are competitive. You mistake my pointing out AMD is a pretender in the GPU space as hate for AMD.
Hmmm, I see two plugs and one receptacle, and the burns don't line up.
I'm not trying to deny anything, but I see two plugs and one receptacle, and nothing is aligning.
AMD will save you.....
I'm old like I said. I have money and spend it on high-quality stuff. I will never apologize for that. If industry says no more gaming GPUs it's obvious the business has changed. You and I can't change that. Let's talk about AMD and their support of gaming.
I am old and have money. I'll spend it how I want. I just don't care anymore. I am retired and have FU money for GPUs and PC stuff. Suck it up. I'm just as entitled to my spending and opinions as you are.
LOL. Nvidia is raking in the bucks and as an investor, I'm happy. I have no problems with them going for max profit. Gamers are whiners and insignificant to be honest. I can afford to buy the high end and have no problem looking down on insignificant poors.
AI is a tool. Nothing more and nothing less. Calling it AI is a misnomer to be honest. Hardware will never become self-aware. Humans will misuse the tool called AI, but humans do stupid stuff all the time. AI is the new gun that kills all by itself.
This site and its luddites, including the bot...
Obviously, you haven't seen the FUD around here or on the interwebs. It's also obvious you haven't seen all the eight pin, four pin and PCI-E cables that have burned in PC's. None of this is new.
Not seeing many cards dying. Sure, it happens, not that much on reddit or the other interwebs to concern me at all. My launch 4090 is still doing well and my almost launch 5090 is still doing well just like almost all others. Shit happens but it doesn't mean things are going to burn down a...
