Georgia Car Dealers Want Tesla Store Shut Down

I agree! I have no problem seeing dealers become obsolete. They are just a middleman adding an unnecessary cost to the already expensive vehicles IMO. With the current business model 3 different people are making money. 1. The manufacturer 2. The Salesman 3. The Dealer By allowing them...

Corsair Launches World’s First Cherry MX RGB Gaming Keyboards

I have a corsair mechanical keyboard and over half of the backlights have already died in under a year. I will pass on that. I have 2 blackwidow ultimates that still have every light going strong.

Thermal Conductive Sheet To Replace Thermal Grease

I don't care who developed it as long as it works. Sure I am not a fan of most all Sony products, but that doesn't mean I won't buy a product from them if they come out with something worthwhile like a thermal paste alternative.

    Video card shroud poorly designed

That one is quite simple. The less resistance to air flow the more air it can move, which equals better cooling. That is why aftermarket coolers that absolutely destroy reference coolers do so much better. They exhaust most of the heat into the case instead of trying to push it out a tiny vent.

Any Galaxy Card owners unbox and notice scratches and dirty PCB?

Lol I am going to laugh if that is what it is. :p A guy on the overclock.net forums made the same mistake of not peeling the sticker off of an EVGA 580 refurb. He made a post complaining about how bad the card looked lol.

EVGA giving away GTX 680 high flow brackets

It has the same bracket that every other manufacturer on the market has. They didn't have to give anybody the bracket. So yes they are "doing everybody a favor." The initial run probably did not come with it because it was not read in time. Heck it still isn't ready considering it hasn't shipped...

They are up on Newegg! Suprisingly EVGA card is still in stock. I got mine ordered. That Surround performance on BF3 put my mind to rest that I am making the right decision.

ASUS 7970 DirectCU II available now

Yes you can. Any 7970 can be Crossfired with any other 7970 or 7950. It doesn't matter if it is reference or aftermarket.

ASUS 7970 DirectCU II available now

Yah I can't say I wasn't tempted because it actually stayed in stock for a while. I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger this close to the Kepler launch. I got a feeling the prices may come down shortly afterwards.
  24. S

Leaked GeForce GTX 680 2GB Benchmarks

That is just not true at all. Graphics card companies intentionally clock their cards a good bit below what they are capable of to ensure that they will be without a shout of a doubt stable. If they weren't capable of those clocks MSI wouldn't be coming out with a 7970 clocked at 1070 by...
  25. S

Leaked GeForce GTX 680 2GB Benchmarks

I cant answer for sure, but I am guessing that the 680 would win in BF3 because it is so VRAM intensive. Games that aren't VRAM intensive would probably be a different story. It also depends on what resolution you are playing at.
  26. S

Leaked GeForce GTX 680 2GB Benchmarks

How so? I said massively obtainable overclock, which would mean it would not be hit or miss. It may not be perfectly accurate, but it is more accurate than stock vs stock that doesn't really give the user an idea of what the card is truly capable of. For example a very reasonable overclock for...
  27. S

Leaked GeForce GTX 680 2GB Benchmarks

While I do agree that max stable overclock is subjective I disagree that stock vs stock is the real comparison. The real comparison is max massively obtainable overclock. Nobody leaves their card at stock anymore unless they are already getting more performance than they need. If that is the...

Leaked GeForce GTX 680 2GB Benchmarks

It does make you wonder if Nvidia pushed their cards stock clocks higher to beat the 7970. If this is the case that would mean they have less overclocking headroom. I am curious to see how the 680 overclocks.

Leaked GeForce GTX 680 2GB Benchmarks

Ok Kyle I am not sure how much you can share with us, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask...If you can answer which card would you pick if you plan on overclocking and running multiple monitors?
  30. S

ASUS 7970 DirectCU II available now

Even if it is just reading incorrectly, it is still Asus's fault. They should have caught the incorrect reading in testing. Either way there is an alarming large number of people reporting problems with this card. If it is not the VRMs that just means it is a poorly manufactured card, which...

    [Kepler/GTX 680] Info's in... $400-450? + benches + thermals (56k warning)

One thing you guys are forgetting is Nvidia is more than likely not interested in getting themselves in a price battle with AMD. After all if they both keep prices high they both win. If they both sell at a lower price point they both lose.
  32. S

ASUS 7970 DirectCU II available now

Lol yah that would be committing suicide for a card company considering most everybody doesn't have PCI 3.0 yet. That rep was a step below clueless.
  33. S

Will Kepler's high end really be only 2GB?

I am not saying the 680 will not win, but honestly these reviews don't mean anything until we can see what kind of overclocking headroom a 680 has. That test is comparing it to a stock 7970, which has a good bit of overclocking capability.
  34. S

    One AMD 7970 running 5760x1080?

Judging by the performance it is getting on Ultra in reviews at that resolution, I would say it would probably be playing at High or Medium at that resolution. I wish reviews would show us how it performs on the lower settings.

GK104 = GTX 680 (confirmed), paper launching soon [SA]

Great! Maybe I will consider going Green then if they price that puppy reasonably. :D From what I have been reading since I decided to go AMD, Nvidia definitely has better drivers at launch usually.

GK104 = GTX 680 (confirmed), paper launching soon [SA]

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/12/22/amd_radeon_hd_7970_video_card_review/9 There is a HardOCP review showing that it can just barely squeak by on Ultra in Eyefinity. For me personally those framerates would be a fail though. Like I said though I don't really care if I can run Ultra or...
  38. S

GK104 = GTX 680 (confirmed), paper launching soon [SA]

I hope not...The 7970 can run BF3 on Ultra at a "playable" FPS, so I would assume it can run it on High or Medium at an actually "playable" FPS. If the Nvidia 680 is going to have more power than a 7970 it should handle it no problem unless it is limited by VRAM. Which personally running the...

GK104 = GTX 680 (confirmed), paper launching soon [SA]

If Kepler can do BF3 in Nvidia Surround on ONE card, I will probably go back to team green. If it can't be done on one card though I will probably go for the 7970. Do you guys think 2GB of VRAM is enough for surround on BF3 at 5760x1080 though?
  40. S

GK104 = GTX 680 (confirmed), paper launching soon [SA]

While I still plan on picking up a 7970 when the MSI Lightning is released(I want to do Eyefinity), I hope you are right. If it can handily beat the 7970 at a similar price point it may drive the price down. Unfortunately though I am thinking Nvidia will probably price it accordingly with...
