1. I do not currently liquid cool my GPU, but did previously when I was using a GTX 580
2. I would consider purchasing one pre- installed only if the cost difference was minimal over the individual components and if the warrant was better (or kept valid) vs some manufacturers not warrantying...
I like the solid construction, clean lines, easy cable management and convenient well thought out layout that lets me put together my build quickly and easily, and the ease of maintenance and cleaning. I have been using an Obsidian 800D since they came out as my main computer case and it has...
Thank you for the original posting - I ordered the evga 4995 last Friday - it showed as processing until yesterday, so I called yesterday to check on it - well they cancelled it last night after telling me it was OK yesterday. When I called today to ask why they cancelled my order after saying...
For years, I have built every system in our house, including my wife's and kids' machines - no matter what I built for my wife, she managed to kill it (and of course get mad at me about it) - if i used cheap parts ii died quickly, if I used expensive parts she managed to kill it spectacularly...
If I can only pick on new feature, secure erase is the biggest single improvement I am looking forwards to. While I want all of the other improvements as well, secure erase is one I will be using from day 1.
I would use all that extra time to read war and peace (in the original Russian), watch all of Ken Burns documentaries (uncut), build a scale replica of the great wall of China with Legos, and repaint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
The real problem is that the FTC just fines these guys for violating regulations instead of convicting them for breaking the law. In Dallas the US Attorney and FBI went after a guy for robodialing under the CAN-SPAM act. They jury found him guilty and he got 3 years. By the way, according to...
There are numerous features which will enhance my gaming experience.
First and foremost is the ability to run my games at 2560x1600. While I have had a Dell 3007 since 2010, here are hardly any games I can play at native resolution with any bells and whistles due to having an older graphics...
I have had the same Antec 850w PSU in one of my rigs for over 5 years now with no issues whatsoever. Until I bought a Corsair 1000 about 3 years ago, I had never had a PSU go for more than 2 years before that and it is still the longest operating PSU I have ever owned.
I have always had good experiences with Seasonic in the past, but in my two most recent builds have not used their components as I was able to get great deals on the Corsair HX1000 and AX 1200 respectively. Winning this would be a step towards bringing me back into the fold.
I am very happy with every corsair product I own. I have never had an issue with their SSDs, memory, PSU, or Case. All work well and were reasonably priced. My current build is in an 800D, uses 26GB of Vengence ram, a Force 3 180 SSD, and a 100HX PSU. Can't beat that for satisfaction. When...
I need a Corsair SSD because I am still using an older smaller drive as an OS drive so Windows takes somewhere around 300 times the life span of Methuselah to boot up. Also a Corsair SSD would go well in my Corsair Case.
