I just received my RMA replaced Twin2x2048-8500C5D memory. I sent in version 2.1 sticks and received version 3.1 sticks. Where can I find out some details about these sticks? Test results, IC brand, and any other info would be nice. I'd like to know why my version 2.1 sticks only needed 2.1...
Okay so I pulled the trigger on a $8.00 (yes eight) CoolerMaster eXtreme 600W power supply over the holidays (NewEgg.com special) just so I could get my new PC built. This "SLI and Crossfire" PSU came with the 4-pin ATX12V connector, not the 8-Pin EPS12V that I thought it would have (an over...
Thanks all. The 9x425 didn't occur to me (it was getting late and I was getting my OC settings all messed up in my head). Either way my system isn't stable as of yet so I will continue to tweak.
Hi all. I started to OC my q6600 G0 yesterday and got some strange results. As far as I can tell, I disabled all power savings settings in the BIOS so I do not think that will have anything to do with this.

I agree! I just went with a Visiontek HD 3870 mainly because of the lifetime warranty. [its still in the mail, one city away! One more day.... One more day.... :( ]
Looks like I mixed up some emotions here, good to see!?!
I haven't started my OC project, still doing the research prior to. I was mainly looking to see how different companies react. I know in the different industries out there, some companies will do what they have to in order to...
Has anyone had problems returning a card to the manufacturer after they OC? Can they tell if all you are doing is using the drivers? Nothing like a bios update or the "Pencil" trick.
Anyone know if the Visiontek HD 3850 or 3870's warranty is voided if you OC using the ATI driver to do the OC? Can Visiontek tell if the card had been OCed if sending it in for service?
Are you saying that these sticks will not OC beyond 1066 at voltages higher than stock very well? I purchased these to help push my q6600 as far as I could with air cooling. I have v2.3 chips with stock rating of 2.1v and I was hoping that I'd be able to push that rating a little more.
