Are you running the VM with BIOS or UEFI?

I was pretty deep into Windows for the last 30+ years. If we're going with the closest, my vote is KDE Plasma.

Arch & Gentoo can be very useful for the adventurous learners. The Arch Linux Wiki went above & beyond with teaching me a lot.

Looks like the ntp.service is it for him with whatever Debian-based distro he's using.

Unit is just a placeholder... sudo systemctl <action like start, stop, restart, edit, enable, etc.> <option like --now, --full, etc.> <unit file like .service, .socket, .timer, .mount, .automount, etc>

I would verify that ntpdate or systemd-timesyncd are running. Plus make sure that they are properly set to a preferred NTP pool like time.cloudflare.com or pool.ntp.org.

EndeavourOS offers multiple DE options, so at least you can aim for what you prefer or close to it.

If a chip has 10s of 1000s of signals, how do they get around attenuation? Wouldn't there be significant feedback with so small of a space between the circuit paths?

I'll be really irked when they do this to The Division 1. Playing in post-apocalyptic NYC in winter is amazing.

I recommend testing out EndeavourOS or Manjaro on one of your other laptops. My preference is EndeavourOS with Plasma 6 for my desktop & laptop.

How does that work for the devs & publishers that opt-in for minimal to no DRM? It sure makes customers happy over some game hating investor.

My hold up with Manjaro is when one attempts to install an AUR package & it yells that it can't find the right version of a dependency. I'd rather go with rolling Arch based distros over what's held back by Manjaro's weird semi-rolling release choices. I guess the other option is to stick with...

I'm starting to wonder if this is getting the Duke Nukem Forever treatment & I'll see it in 10 years.

My way around it was altering the Steam ROM Manager parsers after switching the app skin in settings. I always verify that I only have what parsers I want turned on & that they're scanning the right ROM directories with the proper scanning regex.

A backup feature would be great. I need to figure out if I can link in the Veeam backup agent & do one nightly when its docked.

Nope, doesn't install or run very well on the newer versions of SteamOS. I'll wait until those issues are resolved to try again.
