Once in a while it gets past that screen, but it freezes during the intro to part 1 after about 30 second in game. It seems that clicking on windows outside the game while it is running will consistently cause it to stop responding. Also pressing A to start didn't work. Had to press the spacebar.

My understanding is that DVI-D is electrically identical to the video signal of HDMI. I can confirm that HDCP works over DVI-D because I watch Blu-Ray movies on my computer over a DVI connection.

I've played this. The production quality is a little on the low side, but its a great game if you can look past that.
