Added a few items to the workstation. After following the various Korea monitor threads, I just couldn't help but pick up one for myself. Very pleased with the purchase :)
New items:
Belkin pf60
Achieva Shimian QH270-lite
Tyke dual LCD monitor mount

I will eventually get a proper screen, but the polk speaker sale from newegg kinda pushed that purchase back a bit. It really does look great even just thrown on the wall. Right now i'm leaning towards a Jamestown screen...
Pretty sweet setup going on there. One suggestion, sell/throw away they keyboard! I replaced the same one with a mechanical keyboard, and wow you are in for a treat going from the "wave" to a better keyboard!

It has been discontinued for quite some time, but if you can find it used I would def would not hesitate picking one up. I am very happy with its performance, I almost feel bad using it just for secondary duty.
Unfortunately for the time being as I'm in an apartment, so I can't easily put up a screen. I am surprised at how good it looks honestly. I got 2 screen samples (Da-lite high power & cinema gray something), I actually preferred the wall than either of those 2.
Did a little work on the desk, and replaced my old receiver to a Denon 591. Next on the to do list is to build a better table top.

Night Shot w/ projector on coming soon.
Thanks for the comment, I absolutely love the projector (epson 8350). The Westy and projector are running off the evga gtx560ti and the 24" is running off a cheap gt220.
@ t3itguy
Thanks for the info, I should have said what hardware i'm using. The 560 is running the Westy and projector as a clone, and the 24" in portrait is running off a nvidia gt220. When i'm just using the 37" & 24" monitors everything is fine, when the projector is turned on and is...
Need help. When I turn on my projector, my 24" monitor goes out of portrait mode. When I shut the projector off it automatically goes back, any ideas on solving this??

I agree a 750 watt PSU is a bit overkill, but I did find a good deal on this power supply at Newegg for $100 bucks.

I appreciate the great responses! Sounds like what I have specd out will do the job and save me money not going the i7 route. I will definitely go with the ram recommendation as that's the one area i was unsure of. I'm really hoping this setup will take any game I throw at it currently at max...
I am looking at a new build and need everyone's advice. My main activities would be gaming (on a 37" westy) and some multimedia work. From reading around it seems I really do not need the new i7 since the most intensive computing i would be doing is gaming at 1920x1080. I would like the build...
I was in the same situation as you earlier this year and went with the 37" Westy deal from buy.com. I love the bigger screen, even with the slight dip in resolution (1920x1200 to 1920x1080). Here are a couple pics for some comparison.

After playing xbox via component, I went to switch back to dvi and not one button on the remote or the tv itself would work. I then unplugged the power cord, waited a min and powered it back up. To my amazement the Westy had fixed itself, the picture now displays properly at 1080p!
So I was messing around with the display settings and changed the refresh rate to 30 hz, and the image will display properly, except for the the quality of the picture. Does this help anybody to identify the problem?
I am using a dual-link dvi cable. When I play a game and play under a lower resolution it shifts back to normal, but when it goes back to 1900x1080 the image shifts back a little off screen like the picture above. This leads me to believe that the problem lies within the tv, am I wrong to...
The image seemed to shift down about a half inch after a day of use, and I cannot seem to get it back to normal. Anybody else have this problem or have any suggestions on what I might try.
So far I've tried messing around in the nvidia control panel and also within the tv settings without...
Just received my 37" Westinghouse from the Buy.com deal and thought I would share my workstation progression over the past years.
How an engineer spends his 21st birthday!!
Bought a 24" LG
Rearranged some things
Purchased the 37" Westy, so I rearranged to prepare for this...
I have my computer and xbox 360 connected, via optical toslink cables, into a splitter (used in reverse) that connects into my one optical in on the receiver. Everything works when one device is on, but when I turn on the 360 I need to unplug the computer's cable.
Is there any way to...
Spent an hour installing the stock cooler on my socket 775 board because of those f-in push pins! Felt uneasy about how they were holding, so I just went and bought a Zalman 9500. Now I can rest easy knowing the cooler is on there nice and tight, and with the added bonus of being able to...
Thanks for the comment, but i move every 3-4 months so it's a pain to do any cable management. As for the wallpaper just go to www.skins.be, as thats where I get my wallpapers.
I appreciate the offer but drives these days are inexpensive, I just need to order a sata burner the next time I...
