Theoretical maximum specs for AMD cpu based platform under Windows 7

Microsoft pushing so hard to make people get off the older Windows OS's is just going to backfire. People don't like to be told what to do and will consider alternatives, if merely out of spite.

    Threadripper and Windows 7

Wow, so much cock-gargling for that POS W10. Some of you just need to accept lots of people hate it and try not take it as some kind of personal crusade. At least 8.1 has a later end of life than W7.

Tesla Model 3 Owners Vent about Polar Vortex Affecting Cars

Weird - I use the built-in block heater on my 6.7L cummins last night (-2 deg F) and just 6-7 Amps out of a 110V outlet had enough power to keep the engine coolant in that monster block over 100F. This is outside, in the snow and cold and wind. I dont buy it. People are making mountains of...

Tesla Model 3 Owners Vent about Polar Vortex Affecting Cars

Do you have a citation for this? Basic math says a Tesla using 110V X 10A = ~1KW continuously to heat the battery and still lose its charge seems unreasonable to me. Just charging a battery causes it to warm up.

    Considering "upgrading" to Win10

I still rock W7 for my main rigs. W10 brings me nothing I want and lots of things I dont want. I do have a couple of W10 rigs I use for mining/test purposes but W10 annoys the hell out of me every time I use it. My suggestion, run W10 in a VM for a while and see how you like it (or on a...

    Anyone tried 2990WX with Windows 7 x64?

1950X definitely is possible as I run it myself on a Zenith Extreme mobo with W7. Don't know about the 2nd gen ones. If I had the hardware I would try by taking an existing working 1950X/Win7 setup and replacing the CPU.
