@Raja
I have flashed the Z87-PRO BIOS 1707 in December before anything about the "BIOS updater for New 4th Gen Intel Core Processors" was mentioned on the site.
So a few questions come up:
Is my BIOS/UEFI now the same as what it would have been if had flashed with the "Bios updater"
Can I...
@ HardOCP.
For years your reviews were a fresh and different way of looking at GPU performance as other websites. I always checked and check HardOCP to see your opinion. And yes, you did report that CF was less fluid than SLI. Lot of credits for all that.
And maybe it is even true that we...
Dear Raja,
downloaded Z87-Pro 1205 Bios from Asus global website, unzipped it and stored it to harddrive.
When I use EZ flash from within bios it says: selected file is not an UEFI file.
Did the 1007 update (as well as dozens of similar updates on e.g. P6P67 deluxe board) in exactly the same...
In this thread: http://hardforum.com//showthread.php?t=1578865. Raja posted another solution.
Especially people with SSD's should set "Hot plug for sata devices " to enabled in BIOS.
For me this finally solved the sleep issue on my not-overclocked B2 Deluxe board with 1503 Bios.
Only...
And your point is?
I'm not even running this system oc'd and some people think sleep IS an important feature. What the hell has a years old 775 system to do with this.
I did a reality check and concluded that I'm living in 2011. In ICT terms lightyears away from the birth of S3...
Congratulations with your smart ass remark which gets a few laughs here and there.
Off course I'm crazy to expect this function to work properly. This is a hobby!! Why should we expect ANYTHING to work as advertised.
With so many people having issues with sleep. How is it possible...
My situation is similar and I am running 1502 bios on Asus Deluxe. Doesn't matter what I do in Bios and despite having all the latest drivers installed, sleep does not work.
I find it incomprehensible that this ecosystem has been shipped while such an important and basic feature is broken. And...
I have this board 1.5 month now and paid around EUR 205, - for it. So even accounted for the FX rate, I would say USD 320 is pretty steep. Overpriced I would say.
Board itself is good, although the BIOS/Board definitely does not give you the stable feel which X58 (asus p6tdeluxe) gave me right...
All nice & dandy that Asus takes care of their US + Canadian customers however a lot wish that they would come forward with concrete, similar programs for the rest of the world.
Like Europe for instance, or even better: The Netherlands.:D
Very cool. Was hoping for more details for a while! Heard it is coming out in april so nV will not be able to adjust 590 to it.
Hopefully it won't take longer than 1 or 2 weeks for the 6990 to come out. :P
Allthough I appreciate ASUS's way of handling this for US users, I'm quite dissappointed that for, e.g. the Asus clients in Europe, no detailed replacement info is available on their site yet.....
Please post this info ASAP Asus!
Good to see that HardOCP is following in Jonnyguru's footsteps with great PSU reviews. Much needed I must say. :)
What would be interesting is if HardOCP would test the 850 DXX as well. Unfortunately, often only one PSU of a certain PSU line is tested where it is not sure that the other...
