I don't think applying the Spyder2 like stated above, will help, for video games, as they won't be applied to them. But when I turned my gamma down to 0.8, like ego42 said earlier, with my video card drivers, for example, Age Of Empires looked MUCH better. Which also looked REALLY bad imo...
It seems to be working for some games, for example, works with Age Of Empires III, doesn't work with S.T.A.L.K.E.R, for some reason. Also, about the "people-looking-dead" part, I changed the saturation and gamma a little in the Catalyst Control Center, it's much better now.
ffs lol - I uninstalled the Omega drivers, rebooted, then I got a blue screen because of the gamma tool from samsung, which couldn't apply its settings, probably because there were no drivers installed... So I boot in to safe mode, Catalyst told me I had to install .NET Framework. Which wouldn't...
Argh, I'm using the Omega Drivers, with which I can't seem to find the setting you mentioned. I'll install the Catalyst drivers and try it out.
And, there's probably a pretty big chance, all monitors in this price range won't have very good colors? I mean, the IIYAMA monitor, which you saw...
Ok, I did what you said. Indeed, it looks MUCH better now, though I still had to lower the gamma like you said and thus it's not applied in any games or overlay windows. So it's still way too bright in-game, even if I change the settings with my video card drivers, it won't change a thing for...
Thank you ego42, I almost haven't been home today, and I gotta go in a few, again...
Can't wait to try out your settings and the tool you mentioned, will do it when I get back home which will be in an hour or two.
And amoeba1126, I do have the S panel!
Edit: If I use such a gamma loader...
I bought this monitor a few days ago, but I'm wondering.
Am I the only one who finds this monitor to be extremely bright, even when lowering/changing the brightness/contrast/color control settings? This can be changed as well by using my video card drivers, but I don't feel like this should be...
