It's fairly simple. INSURANCE. The insurance will pay the liability. Insuance companies themselves will be happy to insure driverless cars for the right price. Whether it costs more or less than a human driver will depend on the statistics.
Dark matter is a theory to explain OBSERVATIONS. Dark matter can be measured and its effects observed. The big bang is also a theory to explain OBSERVATIONS...it can be measured and it makes predictions. String theory can at least potentially be measured and is also predicted by math. I don't...
This game is not S.T.A.L.K.E.R. It is Stalker. It's based on the same source material so it has 'anomalies' and 'the zone,' but it is an independent project. I also was confused when I first heard of the game. Wait for Survivium is you want a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. MMO.
Okay so everyone lives a healthy lifestyle... that drastically cuts down type II diabetes, heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, pulmonary disease, and certain cancers. We are still stuck with neurodegenerative diseases (like Alzheimer's and parkinson's), other cancers, autoimmunes diseases...
Some research is risky and wont pay off for a long time (possibly not in a human lifetime). Other research has the potential to spur economic growth but wont be profitable in and of itself. The private sector avoids these types of research for the most part, yet they are important to society...
There are many ethical problems associated with this (most having to do with the human cloning aspect), but it's an intriguing idea and we would learn a lot from studying living neanderthals. I say do it. This isn't some crazy dude cloning his dead child, it's bringing back another subspecies of...
I'm getting a laptop paid through a scholarship, I will probably get it within the next month. I'd a like a good, powerful, all around laptop. No bigger than 15", under $3000.
Right now I'm leaning towards the 15" rMBP with maxed out specs. I don't think I need the super high res (I'm doing...
Only research institutions that received the money in the form of a grant, these are usually universities, but they are always nonprofits. The universities then license the IP out to companies to commercialize. The commercialization process costs hundreds of millions of dollars or more, no for...
Why would a company invest a billion dollars in R&D to make a drig that anyone can copy for a few million if they did not have patent rights? They wouldn't. All you would have are generics of existing drugs without any new innovation. The government would be forced to take on all the R&D...
It's less overhead because the real estate will be cheaper and you wont have to pay for a salesforce. They would obviously only do this in locations that will get sufficient customers.
What are they gonna do switch to linux for the laptop and desktop market? Hahaha. The only way they could hurt MS would be to use android for tablets, but then they'll just miss out while MS corners the entire windows tablet market. MS didn't fuck up, they are trying to get people hyped about...
People form humble beginnings can become a CEO (or get rich in banking, consulting, law, medicine, or private equity). Yes, what university you go to matters, but what doesn't matter is how rich your parents are.
You're point is valid but that is a terrible example. Lots of people admit to doing drugs and TV and in other places and nothing happens to them. You act as if its worse for him to be honest than to lie.... Now the fact that he's increased marijuana raids during his time in office is something...
Supposedly, he fears he could be extradited to the US once arrested. He hasn't even been formally charged yet, I assume it's going to happen once he is extradited.
If the charges were fabricated by the CIA you wouldn't want to face them in open court, that is a battle that would be hard to...
This women is very hard of hearing apparently. From what i read, she never heard what the kids were saying until the video ended up on the internet. This is probably why the kids were doing it...because they knew she couldn't hear and it was funny to them that they could say such horrible things...
UO rocked. It was great for it's time. It's definitely too bad that the mainstream games have moved away from real PVP with consequences.
There is the indy Mortal Online which is made by some of the same developers, I havent played it since it was in open beta, but it does have the mechanics...
He was born rich and he went to private schools. He came to the USA for safety because his parents were worried about him getting kidnapped. He could have stayed in his own country and gotten killed, but he came here because our government fosters a safe and productive society with a lot of...
So its a wow clone. Yay. Seriously, they should have kept it first person and kept the combat the same then at least there would be something in it's favor.
Lots of people are not donors. It should really be an opt out option rather than opt in. I dont use or like facebook, but they get points for this one.
Can you name an RTS that was more balanced than SC2 at release? Obviously in house testing and even beta testing are not enough to achieve perfect balance. That takes years. There will be imbalances upon the release of the expansion, and they will be fixed over time.
All of the self made tech billionaires work(ed) very hard and were also very smart. I struggle to think of anyone very successful that doesn't work hard. Maybe some celebrities or people with some fame.
Given that this man in a proven fraud, I wouldn't trust any info from anyone promoting him. That said, which patents are you referring to? Are they any relevant court cases? You've likely been misinformed somewhere...I am guessing it was when you watched that 2 hour video promoting a known quack...
$40 for 10 hours of high quality programming. Beats going to the movies and it's basically the same cost as the DVD set, so it's not like you save any money by waiting for the DVDs. Plus, you get HBO Go which means you can stream the entire library of HBO programming during this time.
You could pay for 3 months to watch all 10 episodes. Personally I think it is worth it. HBO is spending around 50-60 million per season to produce this show.
