agree and I add the horrible customer care of Nec Italy

Just read the italian forum....... ok Nec is dead for me, it is absurd that a 1200 euro monitor is so bad and the worst is the customers care. I don't want to buy & pray

maybe the Nec 2490 if you don't live in Europe... :(

I'd like that some Nec employee see this thread where ppl go away form a good LCD like the 2490 for this stupid marketing choice to not sell it in europe

as I told you in the other thread, I called the Nec Italy and there is no hope to be able to buy the 2490, they told me to buy the 2690 instead but I read too many problems with this monitor and I don't want to spend 1.500 Euro for and pray that the monitor is ok ! I hope that some online...

Just called nec italy..... absurd it is not possibile to have this monitor in Europe....it is ridicolous !!! :mad: They told me to buy the 2690 :mad::mad::mad::mad:

another user of this forum ( italian like me ) bought this monitor in april and it has noise problem, and all the other problems that many users wrote on this forum no calibration software dunno if he still own the monitor. For sure he is not happy with this nec and again why Nec...

Hi to all, thank to this forum, I now thina that one of the best LCD monitor is the NEC 2490 ( the 2690 has too many problem ) that seem even better than the Eizo HD2441. I'd like to know why it is impossibile to find this monitor in Europe, and if someone can link me some shop where to buy...

many many ppl report problems on the 26" nec, like noise, bleeding tearing ecc maybe nec solve this problema wiht the 24" and maybe ToastyX can confirm it. I was seriously thinking about buying an eizo, but thanx to this forum i keep on waiting for a really good monitor maybe nec 24 is...

so using a resolution different from the native 1920x1200 make a loss of quality hmmm :( it is hard to play every game at 1920x1200 ( and you need a super killer video card ) and i think not all the game support this res :(

Hi Chippy a question about gaming with this monitor, do you play games in 1920x1200 ? Playing with lower resolution like 1680x1050 is still good quality ? or is is worse compare to native res ? Thanx

Hi, thanx for the great pics ! This Eizo look great ! I am still looking for a good monitor and the 2 candidate is Nec2690 and this eizo. I read too many problem about the NEC, on the other hand there is almost zero review of the S2411. Can u tell us about input lag, ghosting or other things...

Imho a 1400 euros monitor must have 0 pixel with problem must be silent The more i read this 3D the more it seem that it's rare to find a 2690 without problem. Hope that my 21 crt will last somt other years and let this absurd tecnology and absurd warranty change

I called the NEC italy this morning and they told me that warranty is 3 years :( and for dead pixel they will xchange it only if there is more than 2 dead pixel ONLY in the center of the screen... :rolleyes:! I even asked if there is a way to buy an additional warranty to have a control...

LoL :D anyway here in Italy it almost impossible to fine a shop and see with my eyes this monitor also here it cost > 1400, have 3 years warrany and no zero pixel faulty guarantee. I will wait some other review or comment in this forum, maybe a review form an hardcore gamers

I think that a forum is made for information and it a great place here and all the guys that answered my question is very nice and a lot more expert than me. I duubt that the 245T will use a TN panel and if so... well for sure I will never buy a TN.
