I have an European 2690wuxi with the sv feature so now i'm using spectraview profiler but when i bought it , i didn't know about the hidden tab so i used it with SVII software and i was able to hardware calibrate it.
For the oversaturation in the other programs: check in CS3 color settings if you have selected "desaturate color monitors by". Maybe images in photoshop are desaturated by this control.

Today i saw in the manual that Auto Brightness mode has 2 options, and i'm interested in the second one. From the manual: "Adjusts the brightness automatically for the best BRIGHTNESS setting based on the white display area."
Could it be some kind of dynamic contrast?
