I have an European 2690wuxi with the sv feature so now i'm using spectraview profiler but when i bought it , i didn't know about the hidden tab so i used it with SVII software and i was able to hardware calibrate it.

I have the 2690 and i don't have over saturation issue too. Maybe because i calibrate (hardware) it every month.

For the oversaturation in the other programs: check in CS3 color settings if you have selected "desaturate color monitors by". Maybe images in photoshop are desaturated by this control.
