shagvirus: those color profiles how do you use them? did you use xcalib? I installed windows 7 , and I can't remember how I used them under vista.

Why would there be a display driver for the monitor? I dont think there is one . least never heard of one.

Just tryiing to configure the monitor!! wasnt there a configuration thread somewhere on this board? can't seem to find it anywhere , should I set my videocard to do the scaling or not?

Whoaaaa finally got the monitor !! wow sure looks great. but is very bright.. gonna have to fix that. everything seems to be ok , dont see any dead pixels . gonna have to put it to the test.

Well , it looks as though my Planar monitor has been shipped from CDW canada. should be getting it tomorrow or tuesday! man I can't to see this monitor.. most of all can't wait to toss this 10 year old 17inch dell out the window! whoooooop.

Im In canada , and I can't find the 2690 with SV anywhere. Found a websight that sells the standard 2690 for 1100 bucks. but would have to be the SV kit later.

Yeah im abit confused on this Spectraview kit thing too? Is it easy to use? And is the Kit really required? How does the 2690 do right out of the box? Anyone know where i can find the Spectraview 2 Kit to buy at another date?

still abit confused as to which display is better, the 26inch Planar or the DS-265W? To my understanding the DS is wide gamut? whats the planar? On a comparable note each display has its own advantages and its up to the consumer what his needs are but the 2 monitors seem to be really close.

So which monitor is better Picture wise , PX2611 OR the DS-263N without a polarizer. And how does the DS-263N stand up with a Polarizer? for picture and color? As for the DS-265W? since it has HDMI and USB labels on the back panel? Does that mean A second batch of 265W will support HDMI...

Dell doesnt seem to have the 26 inch planar.

Yeah I saw CDW has it and ship to canada , its quite expensive there. Almost the price of a NEC well couple hunder less. So now im debating.

Anyone know where I can buy the Planar 26inch and have it shipped to Canada? I tried provantage , but for some reason Planar won't allow shipments to Canada with provantage . Warranty issues I suppose.

Doublesight had no buisness discontinuing the DS-263N . It would have been a seller for a couple years , Seems they were to way too quick on the DS-265W with no thought put into it.

Looks like the true winners of all of this is gonna be Planar, probably the next best choice since the ds-265W isnt living up to its hype.

Well , im strongly now thinking about the making a purchase on the 26 inch planer. giving up on the doublesight 265W , im just wondering is there a new revision out for the planar since its release?

Great , ive waited and waited for this monitor to arrive. Doesnt sound very good to me , What to do now? Should I get the planar instead??? or is there another monitor out there thats worth looking at besides the NEC.
