I went through the overclock thread and I believe an important point that should be very apparent is that the back light does not seem to extend all the way to the edges so ~19px all around will "disappear" when viewing at an angle.
So far I've seen two people on the OC thread mention it but...
Not sure if you're trolling but I'll leave these here...

Very positive experience as well. I've gone through more than a few Z-5500 speakers control pods and every time, they just send me a new set.
Same experience with my G5.
I tried both a couple years ago when I was getting back into WoW arena. I found that I greatly preferred the Razer Naga Molten over the Logitech G600 due to the way it fit in my hand and how the keys were positioned and notched.
For the mousepad, I needed up with the Razer Sphex. It's cheap...
Coming from various Logitech MX518 and G5s for general use and FPS, I was recently in the market to pick up a new mouse. I tried reallllly hard to like the Logitech G502 but it ultimately fell short in the ergonomics department (fantastic sensor). The G502 in my opinion seems to be targeted at...

Generally, they're thicker than ABS so they don't rattle or make a tinny clack when it bottoms out.
I agree with this. The o-rings will only help damper the sound when the keycap bottoms out but the audible click will still be there. The most dampened sound you can get with blues will be with PBT and the blue o-rings from WASD. If he can afford it, mx browns would be ideal.
I was actually...
This.
I was in the market for a wireless mouse and found this on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/E-3lue-E-Blue-2-4GHz-Wireless-Optical/dp/B00DPC015E/
It has been nothing short of fantastic. I've had this thing for about 6 months now and haven't had to change the batteries yet (with the...
He was just asking if it would be possible to run on 500w.
Also, just because the PSU is cheap doesn't mean it's crap. There are plenty of PSU in the $50 range that do very well. First thing that comes to mind is the Corsair CX500 that got very favorable reviews and comes to ~$29.99 after...
If you're using the drive on a X58, it is very likely you're using a Marvell controller at x1 pcie. Not surprised at the performance hit.
Also, prolonged use for the RAID 0 on the Adaptec 1430SA isn't such a good idea just because of TRIM.
Crystal as your only reference isn't such a good...
Thanks for covering that. I missed that when I read through.
Here is from the manual:
"up to 48 GB of DDR3 Unbuffered ECC/Non-ECC 1333 MHz/1066 MHz/800 MHz memory in 12 slots"
do you have any complaints with your X8DTi
Not really but it has been a long time since it's been in use. It was running with some x5680.
And if I paired mine up with a x5650 could I use 1600 or 1866 ram or do I have to use only 1333. If it's cheaper for me to use non ecc/desktop ram do you...
hahha real talk. Why did you get a drive on ebay if you knew it was going to store valuable data?
I agree with drescherjm though, bad block will be key in this case.
Keep in mind that you may not hit the advertised speeds. If you read any of the Intel briefs like this one: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/solid-state-drives/intel-ssd-dc-family-for-pcie-brief.html, you'll see this at the footer "Performance varies by capacity and is measured using...
The backplate is built into the socket mount on these boards. If you want to free up the holes, you will need to buy something similar to this:
http://www.vortez.net/index.php?ct=articles&action=file&id=8993
This will remount the socket on the board and free up the heatsink mounting points...
Got some questions for you:
- What are the actual numbers you are seeing?
- What test were you using to benchmark?
- What interface are you using?

That one looks like your best bet.
AIO will mount like any other board since the mounting points are the same as the consumer 1366 boards.
If you don't care about overclocking, check out the Supermicro X8 line. I don't believe it has gone EOL yet.

SATA 3
Unlikely and if it does support it, that gen's x58 platform (and equivalent) had SATA III via Marvell with a 1x PCIe...
Np, we learn something new every day.
As for the Intel personal, if you were just talking to support, I highly doubt that they would know use case scenarios for the SSD.
Maybe you didn't know what to look for at the time you purchased the SSD?

Did you try the keyboard on a different system? I noticed that with my trigger, sometime the keyboard pulls too much power from the USB port causing it to get unrecognized. Starts working again after a while.
^wut?
MBA does not support 2.5" drives. You'd need a SSD like this one:
