Misunderstanding between Microsoft & California judge results in leak of confidential documents submitted to FTC for Activision Blizzard merger

So basically, only give the court what they ask for. When they ask for redacted copies, don't give them unredacted copies and be surprised when it's made public.

Square Enix Market Value Plummets By $2 Billion After Final Fantasy 16 Release

"High-end" "expectations" are hopes... Expectations are what they EXPECT. Which they met. This is very simple. eg: "We expect 2-4m sales. We got 3m sales. We met our expectations. We didn't meet the 4m we had hoped for."

Square Enix Market Value Plummets By $2 Billion After Final Fantasy 16 Release

It literally met their actual sales expectations. As they've stated. What other way is there? And the attach rate is significantly higher than FF7R. 3m sales on 40m~ consoles vs >100m PS4s for 3.5-5m sales? Unless the attach or sell-through rate of something is 100%, is there any business that...

Square Enix Market Value Plummets By $2 Billion After Final Fantasy 16 Release

It actually did meet their expected sales. Ignore the articles that used mistranslations and misconstrued everything about the topic.

Neuralink human trials denied by FDA in 2022, report says

It actually didn't though. All of the "content" removed after he took over was in line with what was happening prior to him taking over. The "huge amount" removed people were all talking about (the articles about the 44000 accounts or whatever it was) was a) in line with prior quarters/months...

Google Chrome's New UI Is Ugly, and People Are Very Angry

It would be nice if they'd at least "un-kill" a pretty standard Windows feature of allowing double-clicking of the top left corner to close the window that no longer works. (Just restores now as if you double-clicked anywhere on the top bar)

PlayStation Classic with RetroArch Runs Games Better Than the Stock Emulator

Price matched Amazon to $59.99 then used 40% cartwheel deal to get $35.99 or so? They aren't actually supposed to allow you to do that. The system lets you but policy says you can't price match and use a target coupon (which cartwheel is).

Lawmakers Criticize FBI's Request For Encryption Back Doors

Whether it's a direct backdoor or a copy of the keys by a non-owner it can work the same way. Either someone can directly access the backdoor of a device or someone can break into/social engineer/etc the manufacturer for the key. Either way people who should not have access now have access.

3 monitor setup (dual monitor exteneded + 1 HDTV cloned)

an HDMI splitter is probably the way to go. That is what I do in my 2 monitor + 1 HDTV cloned setup. Using it has eliminated the random screen tearing that occurred watching video on the HDTV as well. (Since it's the same signal, not just being produced by the gfx card twice I guess?)

Amazon Third Party "servertech inc" sold me OEM drive no warranty

I got 4 WD4001FYYG SAS drives from them. 3 had a full warranty and 1 was listed no warranty. They're not a great company IMO. I ordered and then 2 days later they call me and say they had a larger order come in that morning (Ordered Wed. Someone else's larger order placed that Friday morning) so...

*Official* Norco data storage products thread

They're currently in stock. I'm looking at purchasing one now to fill with 4TB drives. Debating between the DS-24E and a supermicro chassis - which ends up more expensive of course. Are the Areca expanders in the DS-24E hooked up to the LED headers on the backplanes for Fail LEDs? Sold out now...

    Bitcoin Mining Goes Supercharged

That's actually a mistake. It's a 33% increase in performance. The addon, once installed, would be 25% of the total hashing power. The avalon website says the base is 66GH/s+ and the addon adds 22GH/s more. The base model has 3 chips, the addon is a 4th. (To the best of my knowledge)

    Bitcoin Mining Goes Supercharged

Can you cite when/where/how the bitcoin network was hacked? Or are you just referring to bitcoin-related websites that were hacked? (Exchanges etc) If it is just the related websites, as I expect, that's like saying the USD was hacked if Chase bank got hacked. For many people this is true-so...

    Bitcoin Mining Goes Supercharged

Mining will never end. If it does, there will no longer be any way to confirm transactions and bitcoin would be dead. While bitcoin generation through mining will end (in a very, very long time--much longer than 4 years) it will continue in order to secure the bitcoin network as well as profit...

Bitcoin-Based Gambling to Expand in 2013

Is Dwolla shady? You can purchase bitcoins via Dwolla to an exchange or money order, check, etc to some. Or there are services you can send funds via MoneyGram and receive bitcoins as well. It is incredibly easy to acquire bitcoins without someone shady going into your bank account.

    AMD Powers Nintendo’s Wii U

Five walmarts that are close to me have Wii U deluxe available. People are trying to sell them on ebay and they simply don't seem to sell or get bids above retail (or at least enough for reserves). Definitely doesn't seem like there's too much of a demand for these units.
