Hey all,
I've been experiencing a really strange problem when playing my files through Mediabrowser in WMC that I'm hoping someone has run across before. I currently have Haali Media Splitter and AC3Filter installed but this happened when I had Shark007 codecs installed as well. When I'm...
Hey Guys,
I just installed a fresh version of Vista Home Premium for a friend, and I was able to get all the rest of his drivers ready to go except his video driver. In his device manager he still has a yellow exclamation mark next to Video Controller (VGA Compatible) and when I try to...
That's what is ridiculous about Apple stores. My girlfriend drops her macbook off her lofted bed and they want to charge her a $800 flat fee to fix it. I just rounded up all the parts today that I would need to fix it, with a new top/bottom case, battery, charger, etc. It's going to be $230...
Hey guys I just ordered this for a friend and I thought it was a good deal for a WAP at over 50% off. Just be sure to realize that it won't really be able to achieve true N speeds because the ethernet port on the back is 10/100 and not a gigabit...
I have given a link to a picture of my banking website where the locate us boxes are misaligned (the black bar running through them). It doesn't happen on all web sites, just on certain websites with forms or fields. I updated the drivers of my graphics card to the maximum and it's both in IE...
Well technically it still could be the adapter. With the post error even after you changed it you've still got a bad one. My roommate had the exact same problem and would get the POST error and it wouldn't charge. I plugged in my Inspiron adapter with the same power ratings as his XPS and it...
I wonder if it's just bad QC on Seagate's part or if they are just putting out inferior drives. I remember not even a year ago everyone would recommend Seagate and ever since the 7200.11 drives everyone is staying away.
It looks like your video card is shot with no beeps when you have a stick of RAM and the video card. I wouldn't 100% rule out that it could be your RAM, but my first instinct is video card.
Strip it down to the barebones, just one stick of RAM, processor, etc. See you if that will get you a POST beep, try running it outside of the case on just an anti-static bag as well. Try rotating sticks of RAM, etc. as well, make sure all your power connections are firm and all the normal...
I actually got that same error when I just built my dad a computer, it turned out that I forgot to format the partition after I created it, I know it sounds stupid but it worked for me.
Go to 2.1 ASAP! Everything from 2.0 to even 2.0.2 was some of the buggiest software I've ever used (it seemed like they wanted the general public to be beta testers). 2.1 seemed to iron most of these issues out so get there ASAP.
Well I have an interesting problem that I hope you folks can help me out with. I upgraded a friend's processor a few weeks ago and he said that his old PVR-150 wasn't being recognized in Vista's Media Center. So I thought I just didn't have it seated right or something but I told him he needed...
Try reseating all connections, that same thing has happened to me and I think the PSU is tripping the "breaker" so to speak so it doesn't short itself.
For extra headroom the Corsair unit is priced pretty decently here http://www.provantage.com/corsair-cmpsu-750tx~7CSMC05E.htm, it's nice to take care of these things now and so you don't have to buy unnecessary component upgrades in the future if you're already thinking about upgrading sometime...
I would probably recommend this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-126-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1155&name=Gigabyte%20GA-EP43-DS3L%20Intel%20P43%20(Socket%20775)%20PCI-Express%20DDR2%20Motherboard b/c of PCI Express 2.0 support and more SATA ports (if you need RAID...
A dying mobo is going to be a lot more likely than a dying CPU, I'd look to upgrading your out-dated 965 chipset anyways ;), or just try to RMA the board for another one.
I thought that was just a update for system to visually show that you had 4GBs installed but due to memory addressing you'll still be capped to 3.25-3.5 GB.
