If you can boot into safe mode, but not into regular windows then you have a driver issue, hardware is out since you can boot in at least one mode. It is not your motherboard and your memory seems fine to me, have you installed any new devices lately or updated any drives for your system...

As they stated in their review it looks like a driver issue, honestly do you think if your giving a card love you would show some crazy resolutions at super high levels (of which most people do not have that size of a monitor) or show super high frame rates on lets say 19" monitors? Come on use...

The issue of this model being discontinued is correct to some degree. Although Westinghouse will probably continue making these for a couple more months, as of March 1, 2007 all TV's regardless of size will have to be made with at least the ATSC tuner that is widely available to most TV's...

I got the same setup, tarantula and copperhead from Razer, I love both of them, the keyboard is by far the best i have used, I also own a G15 which I still like however the Razer is such quality that I do not consider them on the same level IMO :). Razer FTW!!!!

Yes but did you get a chance to calibrate both for best picture or just what you say in the store? Keep in mind most peeps in the stores take them out of the box and do not adjust them for the best PQ :)

I seriously doubt anyone who buys a 37" westy is really hoping or even wanting to carry it around with them to a LAN party. People get it for a fixed position monitor not a LAN. :eek:

Yes CRT's use an electron tube or gun rather that fire electrons at the screen to display your image.

I have always heard the rule of using 1.5x whatever the viewing size of your monitor is good for view distance etc.. If you really want to know for sure one thing you can do is hit your local electronics store and stand 6 feet away from a 32" screen and see how you like it. Move forward some...

I think for the 37" westinghouse the viewing distance at minimum is 2-3 feet. It would really depend on the resolution you are using and video source etc... Keep that in mind when asking for the best viewing distance.

I was told it would be 7-14 days until B&H got it and then it would ship to me, I am guessing a month. They order it from Westinghouse and so that is the reason for the extended delay. I ordered mine this month and should be here by the end of it or beginning of next month.

Avia is a home theater calibration dvd, it does audio and video and is leaded with test patterns for both plus a guide on how to interpret the information and the test patterns. I think you can get it from Amazon, it has been awhile since I bought mine.

Run the Avia calibration DVD if that is what you are looking for. Here is a site that does a test for the 3 transistors R, G, B. Test There are many other websites, just do a search on google for LCD test.

Yup that is what I did, I was debating 26 Acer or the Westy, waiting on the westy to arrive now, but I am sure i made the right choice :). Will post pics to the official thread here in a bit.
