But none from the likes of samsung/philips. They are only from the likes of QNIX/Crossover and those monitors are getting very mixed reviews. I wish Samsung would update their KS7500 for Freesync, I would be right out to the shops to get one immediately.
got my c14 off a google shopping link a couple months ago - brand new. I guess some supplier just found an old box ot the back and added it to their website - i actually checked it wasn't the updated model bfore ordering! :) ebay is mostly second hand for the same prices

the 4gb stick would normally be fine - has it ever had a bios update?
On a different note, does anyone know which USB ports provide the most power for charging my phone?
Nox
Just managed to squeeze a c14 into my ncase today (x99e-itx)
Wow it's a tight fit, and that's not including the screws colliding with the heat pipes making fitting you. This is not recommended on that mobo unless you don't mind getting a 'bit physical' with the Allen key!
Nox
Not worried about the side bracket! Had a look at that, I love the extra heat sink below the main one!! I think I would of been sold but not compatibility with my socket :( 2011-v3 narrow ilm.

Best answer yet, buy a bios chip :). They are easy to replace, just need care. Have done it 8 or 9 times historically, (but not yet needed to on my x99e)

You might be better off buying the board and cpu from the same place and asking them to do it for you. Some will, some won't. You may also find an old Xeon is cheaper than a 5820k too?
Nox
Between 1&2 MM. if you are using 25mm high fans attached directly to the chassis.
Your 29mm fan may just wiggle in at the front of the case, as there is a little more 'bend' but I seriously doubt it will at the rear. Would love to see them fit though :)
Nox
hi all, what program are people using to monitor/control fan speeds?
I have speedfan and i'm sure it was working a while back, but at some point recently it's changed to only monitoring fan speeds. Not entirely sure what's changed to cause it, or did I dream it was working before? Am on 1.5...
been looking at those coolers too :) but sorry can't answer your question :(
on the plus side - yay, just collected my case from parcel force depot (uk) - it was a 25th Jan batch
Nox
Awesome, thanks :) will have a look at this after my current project! (AlienVault). Have a MacBook already and this was meant to be purely for gaming but am missing Mac OS,

might be easier to bung it on a different disk first then, at least ntil i have it all sorted. that uefi partition may not be expandable now as the windows partition is directly after it.

i just googled for 'Device ID: 0x8086:0x340a ' and 'whea', there were a fair few hits but none looked helpful. Google taps into the planet's knowledge - if it's computer related & not on there these days, the chances of finding an answer elsewhere are limited :(
still - might be worth spending...
Shipping 25-28th Jan - theoretically it's on it's way.
Gotta wait a week for my tracking number though :( just sat here drumming my fingers impatiently now... :( Really excited, but have to wait.

I am not using the LNA cables with my noctua either. The heatsink is pretty close to the top of my dimms too - maybe 4mm spare. I have 32GB of vengeance.
Nox
i run everything with a +25% across the board. Noise from the noctua is drowned out by my GPU - before the noctua, the irritating thing was the clicking from the seidon pump.
Temp wise it's roughly the same under full load. I ran a load with the seidon and it was 75-76 degrees C, swapped...
i was wondering the same - my NH-U9DXi4 also fitted fine :) Replaced the rather noisy (in comparison) Seidon. Temps are roughly the same too under max load.
