I have the same thing with my droid but i have the higher end version not sure what the model is. My battery dies after 1-3 hrs of playing some games :-D but car charger comes in handy!

I had same issue. What i did was i clicked on Format drive and thats when it gave me an error. So i had to reinstall XP, then i re-installed Windows 7, click custom install, then just clicked next and it worked. You cant format the drive.
haha sorry wasnt really paying attention well typing. I am now on Windows 7 after having same issues. So right click on the folder "expandedsetup" and copy the directory of that file and replace it how i said in the above post.
Okay so after i wanted to murder somone i had same issues but i fixed it.
right click the folder and copy and paste over the the one list below
