Dont have any pics. It's just a normal Nintendo Wii box. Never opened, but the simplistic clean box design sure tempts me to open it :)
Whats included? Is the warranty void? I want a 360 but they are prone to failure so I'd be afraid to have one with no warranty.
Here is NVIDIA's very thorough overclocking guide. A nice document.
In the Maximum Recommended Voltages they advice that the safe limit for a Core 2 Duo is a whooping 1.5875. I would not enjoy subjecting my E6400, which I'm running at 1.5v, to near 1.6, but apparently some people have had...
Huh? The warning signs would be crashes and bad Orthos. I thought this was easy to comprehend.
With the air conditioner on and improved circulation its now down to 57c under load, but idle is pretty much the same at around 48c.
1.5v and 57c average under Orthos load is not tremendous...
Well, remember these are Core Temp temperatures. Ambient temperature is very high here in Puerto Rico. Even at lower settings it'll still run warm. I went back to 3.2 with 1.38 and it is just a few degrees cooler. To get the temperatures you guys find acceptable I'd have to run at stock.
At...
-edit 2-
The paste is settling in, and with the air conditioner on, I get 46c average idle, 57c average under load at 1.5v (3.6Ghz)
I've been running a Core 2 Duo E6400 for a few weeks now overclocked to 3.2Ghz with 1.38v core voltage (1.34v real), and my Core Temp measured around 55c idle...
Alright, I'm running at 3.2Ghz stable for 6 Orthos hours with voltage set at 1.38. At the moment trying to reach 3.4Ghz with voltage set to 1.42.
E6400, 680i, G.Skill DDRII800.
1.) About the temperatures:
Ambient temperature 27c, sometimes as high as 32c (Puerto Rico)
Tuniq Tower 120...
Been using one for a few months now, rock solid. With OCZ RAM too! no issues at all, great board, I even considered keeping it instead of moving to 680i.
Newegg reviewees are saying they can reach DDRII 900 with ease using the G.Skill RAM.
I got a pair on the way which I will use with an E6400 and a EVGA 680i motherboard. We'll see how far I can push that G.Skill RAM.
Thank you.
I ordered the EVGA 680i because it seems to be a great board already, no need waiting for marginal improvements that will cost me a lot.
Now lets see how far I can push my E6400 with G.Skill DDRII800 and a Tuniq Tower.
Are YOU blind?
Some reading comprehension help for you and Vegasr:
Cant buy the Abit on Newegg. CAN buy the EVGA. My question is, what changes to the reference design make Abit worth waiting for instead of getting the EVGA WHICH I CAN BUY RIGHT NOW.
I have a Tuniq Tower 120 cooling a E6400 clocked to 2.4ghz and Motherboard Monitor CPU temperature is exactly the same as case temperature (34c)
Core Temp reports 42c for core 0 and 39c for core 1
With Intel Temperature Analysis Tool I can make the cores climb to 57c (45c on MBM) and about...
Keep using the stock fan included unless you can find a nice 9 bladed fan. The company says they tested many different designs and 9 bladed ones were the more efficient.
Love my Tuniq Tower, My overclocked E6400 idles to exactly what the case temperature is.
I am interested in the OCZ Gamer-x 600 watt psu
How does $80 shipped sound?
This is the same PSU as your new one, except this one is used, right? nothing wrong, good PSU?
